I have eagerly anticipated the release of this game. It has finally come and I was ready. After playing a few very bad surfing games on other systems, I was very hopeful this one would not fail. My wishes came true, this came is everything and more. Not only does it blow away every other surf game, this one portrays surfing almost perfectly (hey, all games have to add some goodies ;). Everything I find is to my liking. The waves look incredible, the backgrounds are fantastic, surfers look good, and all the water effects are great. This game features so much, as you read, you will find out about it all. Ok, now to the review.

GAMEPLAY: 10/10

Ah, the best part of the game. You know how great Tony Hawk's Pro Skater does the tricks in his series? Well, Kelly does it just as good. This is where some of the other surf games got crushed. But not this game. Everything is good except one thing. That is if you are doing combo's and stuff like that and you don't want to lose all the points you are racking up, you have to reach down and hit the C stick (I'm not a fan of the C stick on the new Gamecube Controller) You can easily mess up by doing it. But, after awhile, it gets easier to do. Ok, I have one more complaint, but it's very small that I really don't care about. Create-a-surfer is not in this game. I know, I know, you can't make yourself an extreme athlete in this game, boo hoo. But that really doesn't matter to me, I like to surf as legends. All the tricks are great. Takes about 1-2 hours to get use to the moves and controls, but after that, it's surfing history.

GRAPHICS: 10/10

MY GOODNESS. That sums it up. This game looks fantastic. Everything is done so well and if you are playing on a big screen, you just might forget that you really aren't the one surfing. I usually don't care for graphics, but they really add to this game and make it much better. They have all movies for each beach and surfer in the game. AMAZING footage, you must watch it, and if you don't, shame on you.

Music/Sounds: 10/10

This came just gets better and better. I love the music to this game, it fits the mood of the moment because it isn't all that hard core junk that's usually on games such as these. Well done on the music. The sounds are even better. When your ripping a wave, you sound like your ripping a wave. You can hear all the cuts you make, all the turns, the splashes you make in your wake, and the wave that is crashing to the side of you. It is all fantastic.
As mentioned above, this game features many movies that are narrated by Kelly Slater himself.

STORY LINE: 10/10

Yes, you see that correctly, that's a 10. How is that you ask? The game introduces missions you have to do, and unlike some of the Tony Hawk games, you get reasons for doing what your doing. Before you hit a beach, you get a phone call by a friend or a magazine writer. A friend will tell you that the surf is insane and that you gotta check it out. the guy from the magazine will TAKE PICTURES of you while doing your tricks. Very clever, and now we have backround to a surf game, YES!

RE-PLAYABILITY: 10/10

This game will never die. Can't wait for summer, but your still stuck in winter where you are? Pop this game in there, and instant summer fun. Just want to shred some waves? Put this is the 'ol cube and start. Want to crumble your friends? A great party game, see who is the best. This game features so many things to do. Start a career for your favorite surfer. Just want to surf with no restrictions? Free surf is the place to do it. Want to test your skill? Go to free surf and choose ''Icon Challenge'' this mode gives you a series of tricks to do and you must complete them with in a certain amount of time. Have friends? This game has 3 modes of multi-player. Head-to-head, where you face off on a split screen to see who can gather the most points in 3 minutes. Push Mode is where you do tricks and your screen gets bigger for the best tricks, you try and ''push'' your opponent off the screen to claim victory, or control the most screen before time runs out. Also, a mode where you take turns doing tricks. This game will never die, it's just that good.

I love this game as you can probably tell. I have written my best review for this game because it is just that good. If it was up to me, this game would get a 11/10, but you can't do that. Now, I must go play again because I'm going crazy.
