NASCAR Thunder 2003
Review by RSDYoshi15
"EA Sports comes out with yet another awsome sports game."
Graphics 10/10
I was amazed at how exact these graphics are. Down to the Goodyear Eagles on the tires this thing is detailed. Every speck of dirt you have on your car is there. The only bad side is in Victory Lane your crew and you have a random choice of 10 or so faces that doesn't look like the real driver at all. Todd Bodine has hair even! But over all it's still got the best graphics I've seen in a Nascar game, EVER.
Sound 10/10
To say this game sounds good would probably be the Understatement of the Century! The sound is AWESOME in this game. The crew chief keeps rattling off in your ear and you don't even realize that every race he says the same things. If you want to hear it at it's best I suggest the in car or roof cams.
Gameplay 10/10
Well with career mode the game will not end any time soon so replay value is really high. The gameplay is amazing. From taking up challenges from real drivers in Lightning Challenge, to driving in the Richard Petty Driving Experience with your favorite driver coaching you every lap in Thunder License, to getting that LONG awaited first win in career mode. This games got everything a Nascar fan could want. In Career Mode, you do everything from hire a pit crew to getting sponsors for your hood, back end, quarter panel and others. And to keep your sponsors you have to fulfil certain tasks. For example at the beginning of your career a sponsor might want you to have an Average finish of 35th or 40th. Don't expect to win the Daytona 500 in your first season either, I didn't even get a Top 25 until the Pepsi 400 and then it was a win. If there is one thing I don't like it's that you have to be in Veteran or Legend mode to unlock anything in this game.
Fun Factor 9/10
Fun? That word can't describe such joy! This game is one of the funest games I've played in a long while. It is an enjoyable Multi-player game and a challenging one player game with the Lightning Challenges and Career Mode.
Is it worth $50: Yes
No matter which sport it is, I recommend all the EA 2003 Games. Especially this one and NCAA Football 2003.
This is a great game that all Nascar fans and others will enjoy.
