SSX Tricky

"SSX Tricky isn't tricky to learn!"

This is a very great game. It rivals(and even beats out) the Tony Hawk series. It has been released on GCN,XBox and PS2 the original SSX was a PSX release. I have only played the GCN version and let me tell you it is a great game.

Graphics: Very well detailed. The characters are well executed and the graphics do not slow down the whole concept of the game. They have a very different atmosphere in each race.This is dead on!10/10

Sound: The sound are rather well down. Good music. The sound effects are also well done. But one of the coolest things about this game is the voicing. It is well done and its fun to here your racer insult the others! But since the songs arn't memorable the sounds score a rather healty 8/10

Gameplay: This is very innovative. You start wih 4 players(Mac,Elise,Eddie and someone else whom I kinda forgot). You have to win medals to unlock more players.(Luther,Kaori,etc.).When you win you can also gain ranks that can get some points to make you a better racer. You also might get new boards. Every time you win you unlock a new course. There is also a show off mode where you have to gain so much points to get the medals. You can also play with a friend and that is the most fun since it never ends!The more tricks you do the more your tricky bar gets full. When it is complete you can do uber tricks which are rather good tricks. This scores a very healthy 10/10

Controls: The controls are very simbple. A is to jump. B is for the boost when you have one. You the moves with either,X,,L,R and when you have an Uber Z. Simple layout means good control. 10/10

Frustration: This game can get frustrating. An exemple is that your opponents are very good and can keep up with you. If you are in the lead and your opponent is behind you one simple crash will mean a big disaster and probably send you in 6trh place. Another thing is if you hit Y during a jump it will stop your jump and annul any points you had...But besides that this game is more challenging than frustrating.9/10

Fun Factor: This is a sports game it should be fun! And it is!It is never ending. You can always play show off mode which in my oppoinion is better than the racing. Easilly 10/10

Buy or Rent: What do you think after me giving a good review like this you better excpect I say buy!

Overall: Well great graphics,very good sound a normal frustration factor. Great fun factor if you donT' buy this game I'll consider you an idiot! I'll rounded it up to 9/10
