NFL 2K3

"There's a new king in Town"
NFl2k3 has had great improvements over last years. This year they went full out and signed with ESPN to make it feel like more of an NFL game, they changed their franchise player from Randy Moss to Brian Urlacher and added a in depth franchise mode.
Gameplay: Tight controls, much better than Madden NFL 2003. A lot better running game you can see how hard running backs really work because they have a lot more broken tackles now. This game is really fun because no matter what you do in it it always turns out to do something cool. The one bad part about it is the field goal controls. Please change them! I can't even kick a field goal after a touchdown. Their is a big AI improvement and if you have ever played the game before you will notice it instantly. Even on easy it is you won't have a walk in the park playing it. But the AI falters sometimes, their is one play that they would never guard my WR Wayne Chrebet and every time he would get a 10+ yard gain.
Audio/Video- The sound is very good. Along with all of the ESPN music at the beginning there are realistic sounds when the game is played. You hear the pads crunch, the ball when it is kicked or tipped. The commentary is also good they know what happened the set before and say what the offense or defense has done the play before. The graphics are really cool. Whether you like the ESPN logo on the top or the pregame and post game with ESPN you like that. The in game graphics are really good too. The tackles are right and doesn't look like they jump through each other and you can see everything from their nose guards to their dirt on their shoes. The tackles are also cool because they have wrap tackles and when they grab their foot and won't let go.
Re playability- Definitely replayable franchise mode will keep you playing the game for a long time to come.
To buy or Rent? If you like a game with a football feel, go with NFL2k3 it has a nice running game and passing is a lot better. There is a franchise mode that will keep you playing for a while to come.
This is the first year that I think that NFL2k3 outplays Madden is almost every aspect of the game. I would definitely recommend this game over Madden NFL 2003. Watch out EA, their is a new king in town!
