NASCAR Thunder 2003

"You might be a redneck if, you play Nascar Thunder 2003..."

Ok, I like nascar, my dad likes nascar also. This game is better if you have a friend but still good if you dont. Heres my synopsis.

Graphics:9.5
Ok, the car detail is great. Outside,inside,overhead. They track looks very real and detailed. When you are racing the cars have a very smooth crisp look. People have said there are ''Jaggies'' in the game but I havent seen one at all. The game runs at a constant 60FPS unless theres a huge wreck with smoke and fire and 20 car pileups.

Gameplay:10
The gameplay is great. You can just go straight to quick race and pick from just about every single Nascar racer out there today. Season mode is good also. Career mode is awesome. You design your own car, paint job, pit crew, sponsors. At the beginning your car aint that great. You use the money you get from races to get new sponsors, better pit crew members and additions added to your car. It might be a bit frustrating getting your car good, but when it gets strong and fast you will feel all the rewards for being patient.

Music:8
The music in this game fits it very well. It has songs that are car or nascar related. I don know the names of the songs but you will probably like them. The only problem is that they tend to get a little repetitive. Theres only 4 total songs, and usualy they always play in the exact same order. 1 for title screen. 1 for setup scree. 1 for after race ect. The music is good but it does get boring after a while.

Extras:10
The extras in this game are off the charts. You can play ''lightning challenge'' where you have to get top lap times at every track. Each time you do this you get a Thunder Plate. In the thunder challenge they really dont do too much for you but give you a little better stats. In ''Thunder License'' you get to re-enact some famous wins and events the the nascar drivers have gone through such as getting through a 24 car pile-up without getting hit. The Thunder Plates with these are great. You unlock secret drivers such as Dale Earnhardt Sr, Richard Petty, Benny Parsons and many more.

If you like nascar go get this game, if you have Nascar Thunder 2002 rent it 1st, it has alot more things than NT2002 but it might not be worth the $50.
