Mario Party 4

"Have a party and need a good game for it? Mario Party 4 is your ticket for fun and mayhem"

Two of my friends were going to spend the night at my house and we wanted a new game that we all could play. So I (or we) decided to buy Mario Party 4. Once we got to my house we slapped the disc into the Gamecube and the fun began!

Story: 7/10

The story isn't what makes this game so fun. Basically its whoever your character's birthday and you play one of the Host's Board. After you win that board, you have to beat the host in a mini-game to earn your present. It's a one player mode and good if you want to burn some time. The goal is to basically get more stars than your opponents. However there are ways to get stars quickly or even steal them from opponents! Coins can help you buy items to aid you as you attempt to foil your foes while you gain stars. At the end of each game you get an extra star if you did well in certain areas of the game. If you have the most stars after that, the you will be dubbed ''The party star!''.

Graphics: 10/10

Although the graphics aren't as good as Melee and others, it still is pretty darn good compared to the other Party games I've seen and a few other games. It has great visuals and quite entertaining at times and are really crisp.

Controls: 10/10

The controls are very simple and easy to learn. They're not complicated and usually not hard to figure out what button does what in mini-games.The A button is used the most of the time.

Gameplay: 10/10

This game truly shines in Party Mode and in the Mini-Games. When you have multiple people playing this game, the fun really begins. There are tons of new mini-games and all of them quite fun (and sometimes challenging). A new system has been added to it as well, but that's for you to find out and during the last 5 turns things get heated up.

Sound: 9/10

The sounds are good and very entertaining. However, the only thing bad about them is that sometimes it get repetitive and makes you want to turn down your volume on your tv. Other than that the sounds are really great.

The game has a lot of replay value, especially when you have friends to play with it. I can't say much in story mode unless you want every character's present...

This game is really great! Although it has some weak spots in it, it is quite a good game especially if you have friends around to play. If you got friends over a lot then give it a buy, otherwise rent it before you consider buying it.
