Mario Party 4

"You'r da Party Star!"

Well it's time for another great Party, a Mario Party! As you can guess this game is the 4th in the mario party series and is the first for the Nintendo Gamecube. Its a lot like all the others, the main objective is to walk around the board by rolling dice and try to pick up as many stars and coins as you can. Some differences between the games are first they got rid of the duel matches, why I don't know. Also this game has a very good one player story mode. The story is, its your birthday ( you pick your character) and you have to try to get all your presents by betting the different boards of which there are 6. Now lets get down to the ratings.

Graphics: 7/10. They could of done a little better, but I don't think it matters much as that's not a big deal in a party game.

Multi-player: 10/10. Well really that's the only reason I think anyone would get this game. You can play with 1-4 players. You compete in mini-games while trying to move about the board via dice roll to try to get stars or coins.

Mini-Games: 9/10. There aren't as many in this game as there was in the last, but they're still fun. It's going to take you a while to unlock them all but hey that's what's fun. Some of them are almost impossible, but when there's coins on they line you better do your best.

Sound: 8/10. The sound on this game is very low and there is very little talking, its all subtitles. The music only changes when you go into a mini-game and what not, so it can get a little boring.

Controls: 10/10. Even my 5 year old sister could understand the controls. They tell you what buttons do what before each mini-game. And if you think it might be a little hard to get, they let you do a practice if you want.

Rent or Buy: Buy. The great things about most part games if they go on forever. So there really isn't an end. Once you beet it on easy with all the characters you move on to hard and so one. There's no way you could get board of this game in less than a year.

Overall: 9/10. If your out for a game you can play with your friends, this is it. Or even if it's just you it's still good.
