Mario Party 4

"It's a great party but a greater one"

Mario Party is back again. But this time is a better one. This game is similar to the other Mario Party games but with different mini-games. The mini-games are exciting and fun. As usual you have to choose characters. You get to choose Mario, Daisy, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Peach, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi. You go on a game board and hit the dice, and then play games.

Gameplay: 9/10
It is similar to the other series as I said before. This time you pick a game board from Goomba, Toad, Shy Guy, and many more. Then you pick characters and play. First hit a dice to determine who goes first, then the character hits the dice and goes the number of space they hit, and last play mini-games. You get to unlock many things like mini-games and presents for beating story mode. It is even more fun if you have three other friends. You get to choose mini-game room for which you play the mini-games you unlock. Also some things on the game boards have special effects like a red space means minus coins. The bad thing is it kind of gets boring playing the same thing over. The game play for this game is simple and on the other hand a blast.

Graphics: 8/10
Graphics is very good for this game. It has improved tremendously from the ones on N64. The characters don't look blocky as before and the background is much clearer with brighter things. The character's eyes are clear and visible and so are their clothing and and accessories. However some parts are blurry such as their hair. They don't move like real time hair. Some backgrounds you can tell directly that it is unclear. The graphics didn't reach its potential. But not any game is perfect.

Sound: 9/10
Sound for this game has improved too. More attractive sounds and less repetitive. Very soothing and clear. But voice acting is bad. They should have done it better or didn't put it in it at all. That is the only flaw.

Story: 10/10
It is simple. Go through gameboards and play games.

Replay: 10/10
A lot of replay value. People could play this game over and over again.

Overall: 9.2 rounds to 9
This game is a must have. Great party games to invite your friends and have a great party blast. That's why it is called Mario Party 4. Improved options and games. Gamecube owners who don't have this game need to get it.
