"A great game with few limits..."

What I like about fighting games are good fighting arenas, nice graphics, and smooth characters. This sort of gaming comes rarely, but when it does come, you get great games like Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and last but not least, Bloody Roar.

Bloody Roar: Primal Fury is great game, with a nice background. The characters are agreeable in terms that you can relate with some of them in the sense of wanting to ''unleash the beast'' in yourself. This game is great to play, especially when you're bored...

Storyline: 9/10
---
The storyline of Primal Fury (PF) is a good one. It has that sort of fighting theme to it, just like Street Fighter. You just know that there is going to be a showdown, and some great cinematic plots and ''ferocious'' fights.
When I first put this game in my GameCube, I was amazed, and to think that I came across this game by a friend who was discarding it.
When you combine the elements of fun, fighting, good control, great background themes/sound, nice graphics, and good characters, you get a great fighting game. Usually one that doesn't bore you easily. The story is about Zoanthropes VS. Humans, the humans are living peacefully with Zoanthropes, until rumors are heard of humans experimenting on Zoanthropes to find out about their characteristic change from normal, to animal.
As if you couldn't tell from this, you knew that a fight was yet to break out.

Sound: 10/10
---
The music and/or sound effects in a game, are what supposedly influence you to keep playing, and get better. Obviously someone actually put time into this game, because it has great sound. The music is great, it's something that shouts out ''listen to me''. Games with good music are bound to be a ''hit'', so to speak.
This game has music that tends to bring out the element of surprise in you. The music starts out slow, but as you get into the battles further, you'll find that the music gets more intense. You will get a rush of adrenaline a you'll just be sitting there fighting as if it were a real brawl.
It's the minor details such as the sound that give the game a theatre effect, and create the great title such as this that you see on your local store shelves.

Characters: 10/10
---
Greatness is a word that can explain to you the names, types, and different story behind each and every character in this game. With a noticeable change in each characters outlook upon the setting, you can really see how people differ from each other.
The game has stunning characters that can range from men that turn into tigers, and women that are half-lings. With a sense of suspense between each character, you can actually get into a fight, and believe that your opponent has actually done something wrong to you in this tournament.
Each character in Primal Fury has their different ''Beast Mode'', the main one of choice appears to be tigers. All in all you have characters that go from an ordinary civilian to a vicious and hungry animal within seconds in the arena. In the arena it's life or death.
With nice characters, and crystal clear icons and transformations, you can bet that only one thing can improve upon this....the control.

Control: 9/10
---
The control of the characters in Primal Fury is just stunning. You have such great control over the character that there is almost nothing wrong with the control system....but to be blunt, there is one flaw.
This flaw might not be a problem to others, but it certainly bugs me. The thing is that you don't move fast enough. You'll get knocked down, and before you can get up, the computer has already transformed, and is hovering above you waiting to strike right as you place a firm palm on the ground. With this in order, you can guarantee that some matches will be lost, and some frustration will be vented. Otherwise, the control is really simple to learn, and easy to use.

Graphics: 10/10
---
Need I say it? Ok, I will...the graphics are great in Primal Fury. Very similar to the Tekken series, but definitely not to be misconstrued. Great graphics equals great game-play correct? Yes, that would be true in most cases, and is most definitely true for this game. With eye-widening graphics and a superb handling on control what else can I say besides the fact that technology actually has some good sides to it?
Nothing but a mere show of what game programmers, that put diligent sweat and tears into their work, can do with a few swipes from a machine. Nothing but pure gold.

Battle System: 10/10
For this there is only one thing that can be said...spectacular! Battling is fun, especially after you wreck an arena while fighting and break something open that leads to another arena. Yes, you read correctly, you can battle in different areas in Primal Fury. You might just be battling in a solid room, but when you do enough damage to the arena, you just might break the floor open and fall into another arena. This is just greatness, nothing but good gaming at its most refined.
I haven't seen anything this good since my old Mortal Kombat days when I was punching some dude through a ceiling.
If you have to get a game for a nice outlook, get this one.

Replay Value: 9/10
Despite the long journeys through arcade mode trying to get characters, skills, and different modes, you can always just play this game for fun. Play against a friend, go through arcade mode for the heck of it. Some things are fun to do, and some things are just fun to do again.

Buy/Rent:
It's up to you. This game is good to buy, but you might not want to risk it, after all, you can beat it within a rental period.

Pros +
+Good graphics
+Great characters
+Nice music and good replay value
+Easy-to-use control
+Supreme storyline
+Relative (you can get into it)

Cons -
-Computer can be insanely cheap
-Control is sort of slow
-Easy to beat

Overall: 9/10
This game is average at best, but deserves to be bigger than it was.

It's a nice game. Pick it up, give it a shot.
