Evolution Worlds
Review by uber gamer
"Just about everything you've ever hoped for in an RPG"
Personally, I thought this was a great game. Ubi Soft really took it up a notch when they decided to create the second version of Evolution Worlds(originally for the Sega Dreamcast) This game is a little bit of the first Evolution worlds, and the all new second version created by Ubi Soft.
Graphics: 8/10
Pretty nice....These graphics could have been better, but to me, i think it is the way an RPG like this should look. I just couldnt imagine a game like this looking as real as a game like, lets say....Final Fantasy. Yes, The graphics are great for the game, but they are not as great as they could be, for this........8/10
Sound: 10/10
Wow...Ubi Soft really took it to the top when they decided to add voices in for EVERY CHARACTER!! By adding voices to every single character, it made the game more interesting. Instead of having to read all of those messages that apprear at the bottom of the screan, the characters actually say it! All I have to say about this is GREAT JOB UBI!! The sound for this game, hands down, has got to be the best i have ever heard. A well-deserved 10/10 for Sound.
Music: 6/10
The music in Evolution Worlds obviously isnt as great as the sounds and the character voices. In this game, after a while, the music can get a little old and boaring. Even though there are many different Songs that are play throughout the game, they could have added a bit more, considering how long the game is. Music....maybe the worst thing about this game. Still not that big of a deal, but it can matter. Sorry Ubi, could have been better... 6/10
Gameplay: 10/10
As i have mentioned earlier, this game is an RPG. Which means instead of running around, wondering who will get hit next, you take turns. No it doesnt sound that great, but believe me, it is very fun! There are 3 different positions for each member of your party, and there are 3 members of your party. This adds more of a strategic twist to this game. Gameplay.....very nice, For Gameplay, a strong 10/10
Replay Value: 8/10
There are many things i can spot that make the game worth playing again. 1: beating your old time, and 2: getting all of the appraisal items. Of course, you could also play the game several more times to try out new cyframe parts on your character. This game would take a very long time to get boring. But the music does get VERY irritating, which may be one of the only flaws about this game. This game would take Litterally, Months to get boaring, and possibly weeks to beat. 8/10
Challenge: 10/10
Evolution Worlds is definantly NOT an easy game. Luckily, it isnt so hard that you frisbee your disc across the room. The difficulty of this game is just right, its just hard enough not to push you over the edge, which im sure, is a good thing. The Challenge of an RPG like this is just perfect. Its not like, lets say...Final Fanticy that is VERY difficult and almost impossible to beat without a guide. The Challenge of Evolution Worlds is just perfect! It just doesnt get any better. A perfect score of 10/10
Overall: 9/10
I would deffinantly recommend this game for you. As long as you like RPG games, of course:P
