Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
Review by BigJosh87
"Nemesis' last buttwhippin' from Jill"
''...STARS!!!!! ARRRRGH'' Nemesis... we love him and hated him at the same time. Nemesis was ruthless and never stayed down, and that is why all of us kept playing the original RE:3 on the PSX. Never giving up and never giving you a chance. This was the first RE to really make you fill as if you were being chased. Mr.X COULD pop up at any moment in RE:2, but Nemesis... DID!
Graphics: 9/10
''OH DARN NOT ANOTHER RE DIRECT PORT TO THE GC!!!!'' SHUT UP! I hate these people that whine and cry over this. If the graphics were changed it wouldn't be RE:3. Also if they were we wouldn't even be playing this right now. It would not be out by now. It took Capcom 1.5 years to make RE:remake, imagine that time spent on RE:2 and RE:3... We wouldn't see RE:4 until 2005! These aren't bad and they ARE better than the RE:2 port so be happy and praise for the no blocky limbs feature that WAS added in the port!
Story: 10/10
''This is...my last escape'' Boy Jill really means that. This is finally the day when Jill decides to leave Raccoon City and go after Umbrella with all of her fellow STARS members. One minor problem... THE TOWN IS NOW OVERRUN BY BLOODTHIRSTY ZOMBIES AND MUTANTS! Oh yeah and Jill soon finds out that a Bio-Organic-Weapon(B.O.W.)named Nemesis is hunting her and the remaining STARS members(just her and Brad) in Raccoon City. Nemesis quickly gets rid of Brad ''chicken heart'' Vickers but finds out Jill is smarter than the average bear... with that said and done I ruined the 1st 20 min of the game :)
Controls: 10/10
THEY ARE NOT CLUNKY!!!! only ''rookies'' at this series think that the controls are really hard. If the controls were any other way they would be much harder than they are now. I will admit that they do take time getting used to but they really aren't that hard at all!
Sound: 10/10
This game has the best sound in any of the ORIGINAL(RE, RE:DC, RE:2, RE:3, and RE:CV) It really puts you in Raccoon City. Playing this game with Surround Sound(It was the 1st RE to support it) Will truly leave you with goosebumps. In the distance you not only hear the shuffling of a zombies feat... but you can actually tell how far away they are by the sounds of their moans! Oh yeah... this was also the 1st RE to have ''good'' voice acting. ''STARS... RROUUGH!!''
Fear Factor/Cool Points 10/10
My goodness so many great things are included in this game! The Mercenaries Mission... all of the Epilogue stories, and different costumes. This game will keep you playing for quite some time! Oh yeah... and as for the fear factor goes... sure you've played RE and finally gotten over all of those zombies. But the suspense and fear that goes with wondering were Nemesis is going to appear next is quite jumpy. In the PSX version of the game you would have like a sixth sense of knowing he would come... not in this one. It is completely random unless it is supposed to happen with the story.
Overall 10/10
Rent or Buy
I know this game is $40... and you can buy the other versions for only $10... but this game is worthy for all collectors of the RE series(like myself) I say buy it. But if you are wanting you can fork over $10 bucks to get it on a MUCH weaker system than the Gamecube
