Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure
Review by SSJ3 Zelda
"Stay away! No you're not far enough."
Well well, where to begin? First of all I'd like to tell you that this game needs some serious problems fixed. Between the bogus gameplay, stupid mini games, and awful control, this game bites.
Gameplay 3/10
The game centers around you, in the beginning of the game, you pick a guy or girl to play the game with. Well after you get over the shock of how similar the guys are to the girls, you can start playing. Of couse, this game centers around an amusment park. Each ride becomes a minigame. Here is a mini reveiw of each:
Backdraft: A game that consists of lots of fire. Had a good idea, bad controls.
Back to the future: Cool movie, not game. Controls are ok, nothing great, may entertain you for maybe 1-2 min.
E.T.: OMG this one blows, horrible control and perhaps the least cool idea in the game.
Jaws: Now everybody loves giant sharks, you wont love this game. Its nothing like the movie, and its hard, but in a frustrating way.
Wild Wild Wild West: This ones not too bad, a regular shooting game thats a little fun, maybe 13-15 min.
Trivia Quiz: Stupid questions that nobody knows the right answers too.
WaterWorld: Cool graphics, but its just a short show that takes time to load.
Jurassic Park: This one I loved! Its got the jeep and dinosaurs, you can't miss out there! Defiantly the coolest game in Universal Studios.
You maybe thinking, wait thats all the mini games? Yup thats all folks. Oh and another thing, you have to wait in lines to get to the rides.
Graphics 5/10
Mediocre. Waterworld has neat graphics, but the rest of the game doesnt. It looks like an outdated playstation game.
Control -15/10
Wow this is bad. Now the controls changes with the mini games, but walking around is a killer. You have to walk around at least ten minutes just to find an exit thats hidden. Even though its hidden, the controls aren't making it any easier.
Camera Angle 1/10
This is the frustrating part of the game. The stupid camera is in a stupid position, that stupidly you cant get around without backtracking because you went through the wrong invisible doorway. Stupid.
Replay Value- 6/10
You are rewarded for going back and redoing unfun things. The game revolves around points, the more you play the more points you get. Most of the time you end up watching the Waterworld show over and over just to end up getting some stupid points.
Fun Factor- 0/10
This game is only fun for little kids to stare at woody woodpecker. Anyone else ends up getting frustrated trying to find a mini game that's not fun.
Rent/Buy?
Neither. Stay far from this game. Personally, I thought about trading my game in, but i wouldn't want an unsuspecting child to buy it, then I would feel really bad.
Conclusion
Universal Studios: Theme Park Adventure is a horrible excuse for a video game. Its an insult to Nintendo and the Gamecube. The minigames are unfun, short, theres not many of them and its just bad. I hope this helps in telling you that this game is horrible. Save the 2 dollars you're gonna pay for it, its not worth that.
