"Another surrival horror game"

This is the third Resident Evil game to the series. It takes place after the first one. This game is a direct port from the Playstation version. It would have been better from the Dreamcast version. There is not a lot of improvements made. But does it live up to the horror genre on this system?

Gameplay 9/10
Even though it is a port, it still has the groovy gameplay elements in here. It is base on the horrifying zombies and dogs in addition to ugly screw up people and blood. You go to through the game on different difficulties. Each time you win with a different level, you unlock something extra. You get to use characters like Chris. The difficulty levels you pick just determine the health of the zombie, strength, you health, and ammo. Easier levels contain weak zombies and a lot of ammo. So have a strategy for each level. There are bosses to fight in the game. Some of them are hard while some may be easy. ALl the gameplay elements are still in here that makes it fun to play.

Graphics 5/10
Not the best graphics I see on this system. The graphics are just Playstation type. If it was from the Dreamcast system, it would have been better. The faces of the characters and zombies don't look as scary. They appear very blocky and unclear. It is not the worst graphics I ever seen but it is ok.

Sound 6/10
Sound is mediocre. The sounds are directly ports as you could tell. It could have been spookier to frighten the players. Also the sound effects like the gun bullets don't sound as clear. But since it was a port, it is ok.

Controls 8/10
Controls are fine. It is the only improvement I have seen. The controls are converted from the Playstation controller to the Gamecube controller. It sometimes takes time to learn if you are new. It is overall excellent and not frustrating.

Replay 7/10
Not much to explore after beating it once. It is the same thing over and over again. There is not like an alternative ending to unlock like the previous games that came out.

Buy or Rent
If you never played the other versions of this game before, then it is a buy. But if you did play this game before, I recommend rent since it is basically the exact thing from the ports.
