Evolution Worlds

Review by snake0024

"The first true rpg for the Cube. Is it good? read on to find out."

A combo of Evolution1 and 2 is a great game.

Story: The story is quite good. It's kind of like a book, it starts off slow, but it begins to get more interesting as you go along. The story starts off slow in Evolution1, but quickly picks up in Evolution Worlds2. You are an Adventurer, you hunt ruins looking for treasure and artifacts, but you're families dream is to find Evolutia. So you go off to search for it. Evolutia is the most powerful cyframe ever made. a cyframe is a machine thing, that gives you special moves to use, and you can upgrade it to make it stronger.
9/10

Graphics: The graphics in this game are good, but bad. The characters, some enemies, and towns look great. But the dungeons, and the rest of the ememies are baad. Also the menu and the box art are not really good, though you can change the colour of the menu.
8/10

Control: The controls are great. They are easy to learn and the Gamecube controller makes it even better.
10/10

Sound: The sound is only average. The dungeon music gets quite repetetive, and the town music also is repetitive. Despite th repetetiveness the music is not to bad.

Sound effects are good though. The voice acting is above average, then when you land from jump, or smash a wall it sounds as if you actually are doing that. The attacks also have good sound, every time your character does an attack they'll say something, and if the attack makes an explosion, it sounds like an explosion.
8/10

Gameplay:This is also good. In the first few dungeons you can leavee and save at will, but in the later dungeons you cant save nor leave without a certain item. Lots of people complain about that, when the item is cheap, and you can go back to where you were. The battle menus are also nice. They are easy to use and straighforward. You also have a little icon thing that tells u the order in which you will be attacking, which helps you plan your strategys. The only problem is that theyy cu off half of the first evolution Worlds, which shortens the game by a couple hours.
9/10

Replay: Not much replay here. Its an RPG, so it isn't much of a surprise for the low replay.
3/10

Buy or Rent?A fefinet buy. The first RPG for the Cube is great, for any RPG fan it is a definite buy, but if you still aren't sure then at least you should rent the game.
