The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Review by arwing34
"A little help here, Elf!"
This game completely blows my mind away. That's what every game should have, at least. If you are totally obsessed about LOTR, you'd like it.
Gameplay: 10/10
This is one of the funnest games I have played In a long time. Just about every day I play it. It just is incredible. I'd bet you would like it a lot too. Now, the setup in this game is also interesting. Basically you need to 'level up' in the missions to gain exp. and buy upgrades.
Story:
If you're wondering why I had no rating for story, It was just because it is the same story as the movies/books. It is only the adventure with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. Although that the title is The Two Towers, It actually includes the adventure starting in the Fellowship, and moving throughout the places to finish off at the end of The Two Towers.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics could use a little bit of work, but they work just fine. The mouting of the words isn't that great, but it doesn't really matter because the FMV's aren't that short. Although, some of the big stuff is good, and they actually bother to do the feathers on the arrows. The fire effects are really good, and for the basically armored enemy, they do a good job. One thing that really interested me, was the special effects on the special upgrades.
Sound: 9/10
The sound effects are really good. The arrows sound like arrows, the swords like swords, and explosions, fire, and all that other good stuff are well done. I was actually surprised that when you are bending a bow, they actually had that little creeeek that you hear.
Music: 7/10
The music is exactly the music in the movie, so if you enjoy that kind of music, you'll like it in this game. They don't have any sort of different music, because there's not much to do except for the mission. Really, there isn't any sort of extra thing to do in the level except to find some extra exp.
Replayability:
I also left this blank because once you beat the game you can replay any of the levels.
Overall: 10/10
I very much liked this game and found it quite challenging and totally addicting. It was also frustrating at a few of the missions, but I go through it.
Rent or Buy?
IfI were you, I would definitely but the game. It has all you need to be satisfied.
