Rayman Arena

Review by KoolKirby

"$15.00??? Why not?"

Disassembled Man is Back. First of all this game is only $15.00 dollars so why don't you go get it? It is very addicting and lasts long. It's similar to Ray Man Rush (ever heard of it?). Like most Rayman games you can Swing on lums and shoot little energy balls.

Graphics: 8/10
Well the Graphics aren't the best ever made they are good enough to handle. They are a little bit like Ocarina of Time texture style creations on walls and stuff. The Characters have a little realism looks but you can see some of the polygons (SOME not all) but that is the Rayman Style of Games. I like the Henchmen Robot details a lot. The graphics aren't any thing to drool over though. They aren't disturbing though.

Story: 8/10
Rayman, Globox, Dark Globox, Tliy, Henchmen, Henchmen 1000, Teensies, Razor Beard and Mrs. Razor Beard are fighting to be the Champ of racing and battling. Nothing to special but sort of original (a part from the Mario Party group). Not much any thing else really.

Game Play/Controls: 9/10
Just in Rayman 2 you can through energy balls, swing from loops, climb climbable surfaces, jump and hover with your ears, lock on to enemies Zelda style, and slide down vines and stuff. B to shot, A to jump and A again to hover, Control stick to move, and X button to use power ups in Race mode and B in Battle. Fairly easy to get the hang of. You swing from Lums, Break Boxes, and avoid lasers in racing mode and shoot Bombs, Missiles,, Fire balls, and Item stealers in Battle mode. In battle mode you always want to be locked on to your opponent unless your are running from his bomb. You can choose from Race, Time Attack, Total Fight, freeze fight and Exhibition. Their is Multi-player mode from 2-4 people and you can choose from around 15 stages in each mode.

Sound/Music: 7/10
The Sound effects aren't to noticeable but they won't bother you either. The noises are mostly just the crowd cheering. This can get annoying and mess up your race. At other times it can give you more confidence. The Music is very similar to ones in Rayman 2 the great escape. Most of the music just doesn't sink into your head and you will not remember it. The sound isn't any thing to die for and you won't remember what it sounds like once you turn it off.

Replay Value: 8/10
You can play this game a few times over and over again. It is really fun to find all the short cuts in the game and see how fast you can cut through the course. Getting Secrets can be fun to get because it's not very hard. For the Pro's there is a ''Pro'' mode which will work your thumbs for a few hours. Also you can try getting all the skins for each character. You can do a lot of things in this game.

Overall: 8/10
This is a very fun game which will be a nice addition to your game library. This Game plays very similarly like Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc. I Hope My Review has helped you decide whether or not to buy it.

Buy or Rent:
Umm.... BUY! It is only $15.00 at most stores like target. Of course if you can't find it for that Price then Rent. But Otherwise BUY!!!
