"All Star Baseball 2004 The Babe Ruth of Baseball Games"

Introduction: My very first baseball game (post super nes era) was Triple Play 99' Which was an awsome game. Then I decided to get all the Triple plays when they come out. I did for awhile until I tried ASB 2002. I loved it, I thought it was the best baseball game out there the hitting was hard at first but i got used to it. Then I got 2003, and I liked that alot too. And now I have 2004, and this game blew away.

Gameplay: The Gameplay is exceptional and there is no reason for any baseball fan to disagree. I give the gameplay a 9/10.

Controls: The controls could be tweaked alittle, for example the fielding is a little hard, some throws are deylayed and sometime it goes to the wrong base, but if you take it into consideration its kind of like human error in a real baseball game, real people make those real mistakes. So in a way its kinda relistic. The hitting I think is diffrent almost all the baseball gamea that are out but, its diffrent in a good way. You have complete control on where and how far you want to hit the ball, for example if there is a man on third base and there's 1 out, and the guy at bat isnt the greatest hitter, then you can make him pop up in the out field and have the guy tag up from 3rd and score.

Graphics/Sound: 9.75 Graphics are indeed great, the graphics are very realistic. and the stances and the small details of the game are just awsome. The Sound is great as well, the comenraty is the best in all baseball games, Thom Brennamin and Steve ''Pshyco'' Lyons they actually start talking about the history of baseball. you can be playing and then they will throw in A-Rod's name and you arnt even playing the Rangers.

Replay: 10/10 There is no reason not to give it a 10, there are more than 20 years of a franchise, even if you are a simmer (simulate the games) its still gonna be very replayable because, the off season is a long one, its franchise mode is great, you can sign free agentes, draft rookies for the minors, bring up players from the minors.

EXtra Futures: There are many extra futures like, situation mode where you can play in a situation game from last year. The cards are back again and much better than ever. You can get cheats, there are many new teams that you can get, and there are many historic players. also jerseys and now you can unlock movies and watch them anytime you want. The trivia game is back and so is batting practice and home run derby, a new future this year is the pick-up game which is a very good future. its like a backyard baseball game with the pros from the present and the legends from the past

Final Thought: Best game your money can buy in the baseball genre. And by buy I mean no renting, video stores shouldnt have the game for rent because theres no reason to rent it, dont rent it but it, you wont regret it. Also this game kinda gives you info and tells you the history by playing thourgh season and getting the multimedia movies and they tell you stories from the past and, you can even play the negro leauge legends. Definetly the game to buy for any Baseball fan.
