"Shield your eyes at the sheer lameness of this game! RENT! RENT!"

Ahem. Today I shall review Evolution Worlds, the ''first'' role-playing game for the Nintendo Gamecube. I am going to warn you right now... RENT THIS, DO NOT BUY IT! DO NOT WASTE $50.

I was sucked in by the misleading magazine advertisement and the Nintendo Power interview. Thankfully, I recieved this game for Christmas. My $50 are still safe and waiting for Wind Waker. Anyways, all who say this game is good must be under 10 years old. I am 14, and this game made me drop my controller in fear. Role-playing beyond imagination? Maybe beyond the imagination of a 3 year old.

Graphics
I never played the Dreamcast versions, but I for some reason believe them when they say that they updated the graphics. It's okay, but the problem I have with graphics (I'm pretty sure this goes in this category) is the lack of enemy character models. Most enemies that apper later on are the same as the first enemies, except that they have different colors. 7/10

Story
Oh boy. I would be able to stand this game if not for the lame story. This game has a little bit of Evolution 1 and all or most of Evolution 2 in it. The story of both of them is that there is some stupid looking badguy after Linear. The worst part about this is that during the final stages, Linear has been kidnapped. Linear also is one of the strongest characters since you are required to take her to all of the dungeons. Wasted experience that you can't use for the big bosses. 1/10

Sound
I gotta tell you the truth, I turned down my sound all the way while playing this game. I had no problem with the background music, which I thought was pretty good. The problem was the voices of all the people. I often didn't listen to them all the way because I was done reading the text. All that wasted effort... 4/10

Gameplay/Fun
I had fun through some of this game, but the rest was very tedious. The battles were constant and very easy. It was a chore to go through each and every dungeon, each and every floor, each and every room. The dungeons weren't very creative either. Basically they were all the same thing with different tilesets. 5/10

Overall
The only fun I really had with this game was lending it to my jerk friend and promising him an exciting final battle. He's still pretty mad about that. I think I'm gonna sell it at Gamers or on Ebay to earn money toward Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. 3/10
