Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse

Review by WillDay

"A kiddy game that steers away from the usual Gamecube charms"

It's not that bad of a game, really. I used to really hate it. My sister bought it (for reasons unknown) and I figured I'd play it for kicks. After I did, I found out that there's more to it then meets the eye. At first, it's kind of boring, but it gets more challenging when you keep going. Worth a play. See my review below for details (of course)...

Gameplay: 4/10
*yawn* *click* *click* *click* That's all you do. Except for minigames. They're about the most interesting part of the game. Oh, I'm sorry, did you say ''This game DOES have Gameplay!''? Um... HELLO? *click* *click* *click* Is for mice. They could've at LEAST put in the ability to move Mickey with the control stick. If you like games for their gameplay, steer clear of this game. If you like easy yet boring gameplay, buy this game.

Story: 6/10
At least there is a story, but not a very good one. If you're a Disney fan, you'll understand why Mickey does it and stuff... NOT. A mysterious ghost thing appears in Mickey's mirror at night, revealing some kind of portal. So Mickey's ''inner body'' or something, decides it would be a good idea to inside this portal. Not even Mickey is that... um... dim, I'll say. It's just not really much of a story. Though you do have to get back pieces of the cracked mirror to get back to your body: That's a BETTER plot at least.

Graphics: 8/10
Here's where I'll compliment the game. The game does have some good graphics, except the mirror pieces. They HAD to have made sprites for those at the LAST second. When you see one flying back to the mirror, it's this stupid white block of crap. Really, if they had spent time on that the graphics would get a 10. Otherwise the graphics had good shading, many classic Mickey Mouse elements, Etc.

Sound: 10/10
This is also a good point of the game. Not too much speaking at all, but Mickey didn't really need to speak much in this game. All the sound effects were really cartoony, yet fitting the game perfectly. I didn't hear any sound I can criticize, so...

Music: 2/10
AAAAAAAAAAGH!! MAKE IT STOP!! THE REDUNDANCY!! THE REDUNDANCY!! It's SO annoying. It's this one REALLY childish tune that only changes in the dark and stuff and... oh god... the music fits the game but... *shudders* I can't go on.

Replay value: 3/10
I doubt you'll even play this game long enough to play it a second time. It's a pretty bad game for us... NORMAL gamers who like more action than *click* *click* *click*

Buy or Rent?
Neither. Maybe rent, if you're a Disney fan. But never buy. You'll want your money back unless you're about 8 years old.
