NBA Street Vol. 2
Review by super wacky elf
"NBA Street franchise proves to be worthy by bringing it's second good game."
A Couple of years ago a friend of mine showed me a basketball game, he swore the game was amazing, I am not a big fan of basketball, but he convinced me so I bought it and was marveled to find a not-so-ordinary game '' NBA Street'' and after that I was waiting for the VOL. 2 for a very long time.
Game play: 10/10
The Controls are pretty tight, they have good response, and makes you do combos, that would look that are as difficult as baking a pie underwater, damn easy, the street school really prepares you for the rough destiny that awaits you on the streets. You can do tricks that range from a ordinary dunk to the fantastic ''Stretch'' dunk, to the Gamebraker. Another very noticeable addition to the game is the new system that lets you ''pocket'' Gamebreakers, so that you can make the new Gamebreakers Level 2, a point in which a very cool cinema happens, Level 2 Gamebreakers are impossible to be blocked, and are almost never failed. You can also make your own character as in the first one but true innovation comes in the Create a team mode. Also the be a legend mode involving your created character immerses you into the life of a street baller.
Sound: 9.5/10
The sound is great, everything, from the music to the voice provided by DJ Cucumber, his voice is good it gave a very fun feeling to hear him talking both in spanish and english. EA Trax system is very cool, it consists that even during the game the background music is always heard but it never interferes with the voices or the sound of the ball.
Graphics: 9/10
Very Good, the characters look like rough sketches, you may think that is bad but it makes yet another funny aspect to the already fun game. There are new tricks that look damn cool like the ''Back 2 Papa'', the ''Kick pass'', and the ''Back 2 You''. Some old Street ballers are back like ''Stretch'' and ''Bonafide'', there are also ''Osmosis'', '' Biggie Little'', etc.
Replay value: 9/10
This game is a little bit short, I mean I went through it in 3 days with all the t-shirts, secret characters, and trophies, you can play this game 'round and 'round with the new 4-player mode.
Final Veredict:
If you are a sport-sim fan or a fan of the series this is a must buy, but if you are not a fan of basketball this game at least deserves a rent. But well at least I am very proud of owning this game.
