Batman: Dark Tomorrow
Review by Hanle Tasal
"A good idea but a bad game!"
Now that we got another Batman game we can join the crusader in his fight against evil and put villains where they belong. This time though most people won't play this game even to the middle of the story. I have to give Kemco some credit though for taking the last couple months real well. Let's hope our reviews will shine some light on what needs to be done differently next time. Now onto the review!
STORYLINE:I would say even though I have not played the entire game, that this certainly deserves more than other people might give it. It has all the villains I wanted to see that usually are not seen such as killer croc. Another reason of mine is because this story was designed by a comic book author and I have always enjoyed the comics more than anything else.
8/10
GRAPHICS: The graphics are alright. It's not exactly what I had in mind but for a Batman game it does well. I wanted more detail in the levels but eye candy isn't everything.
6/10
SOUND: I have nothing really to complain about but I wish they would have used the original voice overs from the cartoon series. The sound effects seem to be up to par with other games and the background music seems fine too.
6/10
CONTROL: This is where the score drops a bit. Everything about the controls make you want to puke. From jumping to swinging building to building. It takes a very long time to play this game and I suggest that you think long and hard before buying this game. Sadly there is only a few attacks that you can do. Punch, kick, sweep, and jump kick. There maybe one more but it's hardly anything of interest.
4/10
GAMEPLAY: The only thing that kept me from hating the game so much was a continue option. Other than that, the gameplay suffered allot from the designers forcing you to do something a certain way and not allowing a second option. This is probably what impaired the game the most setting aside the control problems.
3/10
FINAL THOUGHTS: I have very little to say but Kemco has some issues they need to settle and that this game should have been vastly improved on. I only rented this game so I need not buy it because it's just a waist of cash. Even though what the reviews say, I suggest you try it out for yourself and you will se what where all talking about.
