Lost Kingdoms II

Review by Rollo T

"Fun Card Throwing and Battling, with a few flaws"

Game play: Game play, if you played the first, it similar. If you haven't, It's like this you get a deck of cards, and then fight using them. There are different types, Weapon, Independent, Summon, Trap, and the new Transformation. Using different combos and strategies, you fight through worlds, getting into battles with monsters, and other humans that can use cards as well. The Game play is fun, and with over 200 different cards, someone can always find a card they like, and a deck that suits them. Whether you like hard hitting power, or strategic fighting, this game has it. Although game play is good, there are a few flaws. First you might experience lag when you get into big fights, and throwing cards, while fun, gets boring after a while.

Overall: 9/10

Audio/Visual: Graphical this game is very good. This game was a major improvement over the first. The environments are stunning, and the monsters are amazing. The audio in this game is also very good, the music, while not being something you'll hum to, is fitting and very well done. Each monster has their own calls, cries, and grunts, and with the graphics, the monsters seem like they could just come out of the game. The music and graphics in this game were defiantly a improvement over the first.

Overall: 9/10

Replay: This is where the game takes a hit. After beating the game, you'll go and collect all the cards, and then once that's done, you'll never play this game again most likely. It's not that the game isn't fun, it's just that after you collect all the cards, and use all the combos, you'll find the game boring. Aside from the fun multi-player, this game has little to none replay value.

Overall: 4/10

Rent or Buy:
Even though this game has great graphics, sound, and game play, you might want to rent this. You don't want to go out, and pay fifty dollars on a game, that you might not play again after beating it. If you loved the first one, then buy this one, you'll be happy. Otherwise rent it.

Rent of Buy: Rent

Overall: As I said what's the point of spending fifty dollars on a game that you'll play once, and never use again. Even if there's great game play and presentation, a game you don't play is not worth spending fifty dollars on. Now don't get me wrong, play this game! You should rent this game, it has some really fun game elements in it. But unless you played, and absolutely loved the first game, or know you will like this style game play, don't buy this game.
