Burnout 2: Point of Impact

"The best Action-Racing game...EVER!"

This is my second racing game for the GameCube(the first being Burnout), and I must stress it's the best I've played on any system in awhile. This game had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There is nothing better than flying down the free-way side-by-side and having the person next to you crash, go airborne, and fly straight over your head.This game is an absolute rush.

Graphics 10/10
You can't ask for much better from a game of this standard.The roads look great, the burnout detail is awesome, plus great weather effects. There's not a bit of slow-down no matter how much action you get at once. The cars aren't too detailed but that doesn't matter, you should be watching the roads anyway.

Controls 10/10
The controls are done very well. All the car physics are very smooth, drifting corners is a complete blast.

Sound 9/10
Nothing sounds better than a turbo letting loose, and you get plenty of that in this game. However the music on the other hand kind of sucks, some of it is very good. It has a good mixture of techno-metal, but it would've been a whole lot better with some licensed tracks, but it's ok we can live without it.

Gameplay 10/10
The absolute backbone of this game is the awesome crashes! There is a championship mode for testing your skills and unlocking better cars, there's also time attack, pursuit mode, offensive driving 101,which is like driving school for beginners,and the best one is the crash mode where you actually have to think about you crashes and you get points for them however you have meet a certain limit to proceed to the next level.

Pros
Absolute non-stop action, breath taking graphics and some of the best arcade physics ever, and of course how could I forget the CRASHES.

Cons
The only problems I found in the game was the soundtrack, too much of the same music, also during pursuit mode is is nearly impossible to see over the top of the cop car in third person view, which will cause you to wreck quite a bit, but luckily there is a first person view to clear it up.

Final thoughts
As you can tell I found this game to be very awesome and addicting. Any racing fan should add this one to their collection NOW. But if for some very weird reason your skeptical, have your head examined, then rent it, you'll love it...I hope.
