"Just didn't reach the movie in terms of Great."

I believe that everyone has heard of this movie at some time.

First of all, if you think a little, Shrek is an adequate person for a game, after all, he already is an animated person and is capable to impress an extensive audience. A game with this character, definitively can be a great success. But...things are not always like we could want them to be, and this game is already bad on the Xbox but its port to the GCN, shrek is something... that I do not have words to explain.

Story

First of all, you must consider the plot of the story. Merlin's agents have kidnapped Princess Fiona to make a deal with Shrek, if he defeats the evil Ice queen and rescues Merlin who was captured by the queen, they will release the Princess.

GAMEPLAY 5/10
This is a game in which you must guide Shrek to pass a series of levels. You must also guide Shrek to solve puzzles. Other than that, there is very little to say about the game. The movements you can do are: bend, kick, and grab/hold, so do not worry about complicated schemes of controls, besides I believe that they would be useless anyway because Shrek does not even move in a correct way, and the camera angles are horrible at times Another flaw in this game turns out to be the framerate, and is that really a surprise? To find this game to be one with the worst framerate that I've seen in the GCN? Even when fighting enemies do we see its flaws, I get the feeling when I punch the enemies, I never actually ''touched'' the enemy.

CONTROLS 7/10
The control scheme is what I call ''simple''. The controls might be the only thing worthy of this game that I have found pleasing.

GRAPHICS 5/10
Mix a world that lacks detail, enemies that are not correctly animated due to horrible framerate levels. At times some enemies move in unsuitable ways I cannot.....I will not describe. Furthermore, the graphics are not the best I have seen, but what movie based games have good graphics?

SOUND 4/10
Not everything is not so bad, and it has decent audio, although its still not at the level of good. Shrek Extra Large has a good amount of sound effects and digitized dialogues. Nevertheless it seemed to me that these effects were not distributed the appropriate way and often I found myself running around without no music or sound affects.

REPLAY 3/10
After you've seen the movie and beat the game, their is absolutely no Replay Value. Yes you could go back and ''kill'' the enemies, but you find yourself falling asleep after time. If you were looking for some replay value, look somewhere else

Overall 5/10
Shrek Extra Large falls short in delivering a pleasant experience, entertainment, or good graphics. It really fails in almost all the aspects and this turns out to be a big disappointment.
