"Don't These Developers Have Playtesters?!"

When I first heard about this game I was thinking it was going to be one ****** ****** piece of **** lame-*** game. Guess what, it was.

STORY:7
First of all, this game doesn't follow the movie's story at all. Why they called the game X2 I don't know. That is just a way to insult this movie license. Anywho, the story is ok. Wolverine has some bomb or something stuck in him and he goes some place to get it defused or something. I don't fully remember. The game just bored me. The funny thing is is that the bomb detonates on his birthday I think.

GRAPHICS:3
With all of the available technology out there these companies should have good graphic engines. Wolverines Revenge looks like the kind of stuff you would see on the N64. No, I sorry. The N64 is better than this. Another bad thing is that the characters like Professor X don't even look the way they should. All of the enemies look the same too. I have got to shed some light on this game. The only good thing about the graphics is that all of the Classic X-men characters are in this game.

Sound:5
The sound isn't that great either. The music is pretty bland. It doesn't really motivate you to keep playing. In fact, it does the complete opposite. The sound effects aren't good either. But the voice work is very well acted. It isn't the same kind of over-the-top mythological bull in some games like Chaos Legion. Even though the voice work sounds nothing like the characters in the movies or TV shows it is still done well.

GAMEPLAY:4
The game is one of the most linear titles I have played for a while. The gameplay consists of getting to one point of the game while taking out any enemies along the way. Once you get to that point you start making your way to the next point while taking out any enemies along the way and so on and so on...There are some things to entertain you along the way like opening doors. Yeah, that is really fun. Uh Huh. The game is also pretty hard. You are Wolverine. You aren't supposed to die from normal kicks and punches easily. There are also no checkpoints which makes it even harder. The types of moves and combos you can do are pretty cool despite these flaws and there are tons of X-men unlockables that fans can really enjoy. But the control is what makes the game so bad though.

CONTROL:2
This is far by the worst controlling game I have played since Resident Evil. If you have played Halo online before, you know what kind of sluggish button controls are in this game. I was pressing the attack button over and over and over and it took a few seconds for it to actually respond. Things like that are why this game is so hard. The button layout is the only decent thing I can say.

PROS:
-the voice work
-all of the X-men unlockables

CONS:
-just about everything else

OVERALL:3
This should go down as one of the worst movie tie in games (if you can call it a movie tie in) along with E.T.. This game should not be played by anyone other than the people that must own every game in history. I pity the people who bought this game and all of the retards that bought it and liked it.
