Lost Kingdoms II
Review by Vallhalla
"Great, Who knows? maybe next time."
Lost Kingdoms 2 may not be the greatest rpg of all time but it's a damn good one at that. Remember that it is only Nintendo's 2nd try so don't look for an epic rpg but look here for a nice and thrilling rpg with many good sides and a few bad, a Few bad, not an abundance.
Gameplay: Not too shabby here but I maybe would have liked it better if 4 buttons didn't control card throwing but it's still half decent, Oh can't forget the new Z-power up that strengthens cards while attacking with them not healing. and now there are even combos you do to give easy and fast kills or healing powers of a god, well maybe not exactly a god but eh, what the hell close enough.
Sound: Not much to say here but it is some upbeat tunes that repeat themselves minute after minute, and it can get irritating if you are doing a 20 minute boss battle, and believe me it WILL get annoying and you WILL most defiantly have a few seemingly impossible boss battles that can lead up to 20 minutes or an hour at the most.
Graphics: Vivid while deep and delightful, it makes for a good gaming experience, this can mean life or death for those ever-lasting few that want the best graphix and can give two s**ts about gameplay, not insulting anyone.
Replayability: some say there's alot some say it sucks but I give it on average a 6.5, the card collecting may seem long and archeous but it only takes about 10-hours and you can do a few side quests to add to replayability. This is all my opinion and you may have others. The game also offers a Sacred battle arena once you beat the main story part of the game which you can get some pretty rare and exclusve cards that give an edge in battle, by the way this ''Sacred Battle Arena'' also can be beaten many times over and over and over, etc. etc.
So on a whole it is fairly decent a worthy game but is beatable in one rental and sometime if and when you could try to get your hands on the game to get a short but awesome experience, with a few little tweeks this game COULD have been an epic, well maybe we will get an epic if LK3 is released.
Buy or Rent?: rent it's beatable in under a week.
