Knockout Kings 2003

"Hey, this game is pretty good....."

.....And it was only 20 bucks when I got it! Ok, I have to admit I wasn't gonna get this game, but I am glad that I did. It was only 20 bucks so I was like, ok I'll get it if it's bad who cares? But it is not bad, in fact it is the completely opposite. I gave it an 8/10 even though I might give some of the parts of this game a 9/10 I believe that this is not the ultimate game as there are things they can improve on when the next one comes around. Anyways, here are my reviews....

Graphics: 9/10. They are some of the best graphics in a video game, they are very realistic but I could never give a game a 10/10. I could not believe the way the boxers looked just like the real ones themselves. Even the create-a-boxer mode has some good models to choose from which make the boxing experience come full circle. I love seeing me beat up on Ali, that is until he beats me in the 15th round....but thats a different story...

Sound: 8/10. Great quality in the sound of the punches as you pummel your opponents, not so good when you are the one getting pummeled, and catchy songs. (Well, they are ok) What I really like here is the commentary. It brings even more realism to the game. Sometimes the commentary can be repetitive but all in all it is a good addition to an awesome game.

Gameplay/Controls: 9/10. Easy to use, easy to master. Gameplay is smooth....the punches link together very easily. Back to the controls, I got this game and minutes after playing it I knew the conrols and I could win fights very easily. Except when I have to face that damn Ali, he is hard!!

Fun Factor: 10/10. Hey, I know I said I wouldn't give a game a 10, but this game deserves it. After buying this game I wasn't worried about anything else, except playing this game. Thats how much you will like it. You kinda lose intrest when somebody else in the house beats it before you though....but hey thats me....I still think I could have beaten it first! Don't let me lead you in the wrong direction, this game is far from easy. It is very real as when you age your boxer will lose some of his attributes. But don't worry, if you are an expert like me, you can beat it at age 151.....just kidding! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this game if you decide to buy.
