Mega Man Network Transmission
Review by LukeStrife5
"The True King Of The Megaman Series?"
Unfortunatly its not really the ''king'', but its pretty close. The game is its ups a downs.
Story - 8
The story isnt a big part to me, and considering that its a sidescroller action game. Its got a pretty good one. With enough naration to let you know whats going on, and give you some tips. The plots basic. The year is 200X, Megaman and Lan must defeat a virus that is going around infecting Navis, and making them go crazy. Blah blah blah. This is a Megaman Game, if you want story, you know this isnt the game to come to. But for a megaman game, its good.
Graphics - 10
I think there perfect, they capture a cartoonish feel, the enemiers are abit bland, but they are still very cool. The only complaint? I would have like to have seen better animations with certain chips. Instead of him just using a sword when he slashes, have it out when ever the chip is selected, so I can run around with the sword out. The only game that beats it here, Zelda *duh*
Gameplay - 10
The game play was perfect. The chips were ported very well from MMNT's GBA brother. All the chips function under the same function they had in Battle Network, and the Program Andvance was a plus. Only bad side was the difficulty, thoughin general most bosses were a sinch. Just wait outside the warp to them, and chose the battle chips you want. But a few were rather cheap *Brightman? Gutsman?* The fact that you couldnt use Lan was a kind of dissapointment. THough it wasnt that bad. But I woudl like to walk around the city and jackinto things.
Music - 8
The music was ok, not to great, not to bad. Some levels had rather addictive and catchy music, while others made you bored and turn down the TV. The one thing I hated was the Jap Voices, I know alot of people like them, but they should have given you the ability to CHOOSE. Like in Sonice Adventure, I didnt like listening to words I had no clue what were being said, and having no to good eyesight, I had to sight close to read.
Boss & Chips - 10
This isnt a normal item that is reveiwed, but i have to add this. MMNT has the most Bosses in a Megaman game. Around 17 Bosses. Making it almost 2 Full megaman Games, which is a REAL plus, adding to the hours in gameplay. The other part is Chips, there are alot of them, and to use them wisely, you have to collect alot of them, not just one, being that with just one, you can only use it once.
Pros-
Graphics
Music
Gameplay
Lots of Bosses
Cons-
Lack of Stats at start
Difficulty
Cheap Bosses
Buy or Rent-
Its up to you, I dont thin you should miss this one if you a platform Action liker, or if you like Megaman. BUt to be safe, rent it, and watch out for Brightman ^>^
