Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut

Review by evax01

"The Blue Speedy Hedgehog has returned to the gamecube!"

Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut is finally here! After sonic Adventure 2 battle came out on the gamecube, many sonic fans including me wanted the first sonic adventure game on the gamecube as well and finally it's here! However, sega didn't leave us with the same Sonic Adventure as it was on the dreamcast, they added new stuff and polished the graphics as well. Plus I believe they added new movies. The new additions they added is a new mission mode up to 60 missions, 12 game gear games as well and a brand new chaos adventure plus you can transfer your chaos data onto your gameboy advance and take it along with you. Now let's get onto the review..

-Story-
Not again! Dr. Robotink (Dr. Eggman is what the sonic gang call him) is up to no good once again! Many times, the gang has defeated and ruin his plan for whatever he does. However the mad scientist has come up with a brand new plan that will however cause even more trouble for the sonic gang. Eggman, is trying to find the 7 Chaos Emeralds to feed to his friend, Chaos, a blue liquid creature.. Eggman manage to find out the chaos emeralds are fed to the creature and he grows with every emerald.. What happens if all 7 are fed. This creature was trapped in Knuckles' world, where he guards the master emerald. The emerald held the creature inside and it was scattered and the creature was loosed. Great! The adventure begins once Sonic meets this creature and finds out Eggman is up to no good once again! The adventure begins....

Gameplay:10/10
Awesome game! You have up to 6 characters to use like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big and Gamma (a robot of dr. robotink's army). Each character has their own special moves and powerups they can use. They also have their own quests but they all connect to one main world. Sonic's quest is massive but as you play through his quest, you will unlock new characters to use. Each character has their own task to do. Sonic must race through fast-paced levels to braek open a capsule or retreive an chaos emerald. Tails does the same but must beat Sonic to the end. He doesn't have the whole leve but only a portion of the level.. Knuckles must retrieve the missing pieces of the master emerald. Amy must try to stay alive and not be captured by a creature called Zero. Big does a lot of fishing. Cuz he's a cat, duh! Gamma has the shooting stages you see in Sonic Adventure 2. Each stage is reached by exploring what the game calls an ''Adventure Stage''. You go around and do certian tasks to raech the next stage. You also collect emblems once you beat a level and you unlock certain stuff when you collect enough. This is alot! Plus you can raise a chaos too!

Graphics: 9/10 The graphics are good but dated to this point but sega manage to polish the characters. They look great. There are parts where your trying to jump and the camera goes through the wall. Plus there's popup when your going foward but that' snot bad.

Sound: 10/10 The music is really good and I like the intro fmv music espeically. SOme of the music in the action stages brings back classic tunes. The voices are pretty good and is much better than it was in Sonic Adventure 2 battle.

Extras: 10/10 My my! There so much to do! Collect the emblems to unlcok new stuff like game gear games, you can play mission modes, raise a chaos and play mini-games. So much to do!

Replayability:10/10 A classic already! Much more fun than it was in Sonic Adventure 2 but they are both good.

Overall: 9/10.. Buy this game right away! This game brings back sonic memories.
