"Just go back and play the original one."

Intro
You have a neat car and cool gadgets. You can go over 120 M.P.H. and you have a speed booster to make you go even faster. You are spy and a spy hunter (I guess, the name of the game says you are).
This is the sequel to the old Spy Hunter game for arcades. Too bad that one is a lot more fun.

Gameplay-6
I think this idea has a lot of potential. Being a spy and using cool gadgets and cars to complete mission objectives. Too bad that this game doesn’t do what it could. One thing that is bad about this game is you are practically on a set course. Yes, you can take a few little side-paths but you are always moving forward in a line. I would like it a lot more if you had more space and it wasn’t always forward. For instance if you were driving and you had to search the streets for a certain item or something I wish you had to actually search the city or had a radar telling you where to go instead of going forward and hitting a jump to get the item (that is what you do in the game) You also see the same objectives repeating themselves over and over. I cannot remember a level without the “Destroy Communication Towers” objective. More variety in the objectives would be lots better. A good thing though, is the idea of going moving from the land to the water in a transformation if your car and you don’t slow down.

Story-1
The story is terrible. It has one video clip at the beginning saying that you have to stop this big terrorist organization or something of the sort. The mission objectives like “collect all Satcoms” are really strange. Why are we collecting satcoms? What is a satcom? If we have to collect satcoms I wish it would explain why.

Graphics-5
Your car looks nice. That is about it. When other cars shoot bullets at you and hit you bullet holes go into your car. The trees as you pass by are 2-D and blocky. The people standing at the side of the road shooting you are made of squares and the other cars aren’t near as good-looking as yours.

Sound-7
The original Spy Hunter theme gets caught in your head and it actually isn’t too bad. They also took that and made it into a rock song, with electric guitars. The machine gun bullets don’t sound too bad. The sound of your car when you go doesn’t seem right though. They should of made that better.

Replayability-7
It takes you about 3-4 hours to beat the game (I am guessing). You can replay it and earn cheats and music videos but I didn’t want to. The music videos aren’t very good and why earn cheats if you don’t want to play it very much. Some of the cheats are cool. You can earn cheats to change your camera view and things like that.

Buy?
No. Maybe just maybe, worth a rent. I have received it as a gift. I would have returned it if I had the chance.
