Graphics
Okay when I first saw this games graphics on my TV I was like WOW. Yes they are that good. The trees sway, the grass is in extreme detail, the water looks good but not as good as mario sunshines but good. And this is the first gold game that actually makes tree an obstacle. Overall I say the graphics are excellent and prove just how much the gamecube can show.

Gameplay
This is the category of a game where it really shines this is what it is all about and this game has gameplay that is quite original than any other golf game. The objective is to get your ball in the hole by doing doing different kinds of strokes and puts. There are some things I really like about this game that no golf game has ever done. This game has many different modes to choose from. Plus there are some interesting obstacles on the course that no golf game does. You may encounter chain chomps warp pipes and many other things that can be good or bad. One thing that i enjoy about this game is there is so many different characters to choose from such as diddy, bowser, boo, peach etc. It is also also cool that the characters each have their own statistics. There is one thing that really annoys me when I am trying to concentrate on a put or shot when I am playing with people. If I take too long they start to taunt me and popups are coming all over my screen and there is constant sound. That is something that makes this game unenjoyable for me. For a golf game I would say the gameplay is excellent.

Controls
At first the game controls were horrendous for me and the tutorial mode didn't help at all because it doesn't give me enough time to read everything and it goes too fast. But I finally went to the instruction booklet and it became all clear to me and the controls have been easy for me now. When you rent this game be sure to make sure the instructions are included otherwise you will be very lose.

Sound
The sounds in this game is nothing that great, nothing that will make you go in awe. There is only one thing that really annoys me about the sound is toads freaking voice. Nintendo should have never made that thing talk. Overall the game almost has the identical sounds as mario party 4 does.

Replayability
Well if you are not that into golfing games then you probably wouldn't want to play this game that much. But if you have some friends over then it can make a good multiplayer if nobody taunts or breaks your concentration.

Rent/Buy?

I recommend to rent it first even if you like golf games because this one is different from links and tiger woods. For the people who really liked the mini golf mode in the original mario golf sorry for some reason nintendo doesn't have it in this one.
