"Great Party Game, Mediocre Single-Player Beat-em-up"

Intro
\'Hunter: The Reckoning\' may seem like a zombie version of Gauntlet Legends. You\'ll be surprised. It mixes beat-em up action with horror. Throw a shotgun-toting Priest in, and you\'ve got The Reckoning.

Game play/Controls:

Hunter: The Reckoning has a simple game play. X, Y, and B scroll through the methods of attacks you use. L jumps, R activates your attack. Simple, right? You have a health bar, and a conviction bar. It limits when you use Edges (Special attacks). The enemies are plentiful. Difficulty will adjust according to how many players are in game by raising or lowering how much experience you get.

Single Player isn\'t fun. The game play is similar, but everything seems boring. You won’t have the patience to finish it. I scored it by Single, and Multi.

Single Player Score: 6/10
Multiplayer Score: 10/10
Game play Score: 8/10

Sound:

There\'s nothing special about the sound, but there\'s nothing bad. Usually, there is no music at all, but it helps set the eerie mood. If you\'re being attacked by a legion of enemies, rock music will kick in, again, setting the mood of the situation. The sound effects, like guns, zombies, and little girls crying, are great.

Sound Score: 9/10

Graphics:

For a Gamecube game, the graphics aren\'t done well. The camera slips into annoying positions in crucial situations. On the upside, the game\'s frame rate never slows down. I personally don\'t think graphics make a game good, but they can always help. The Hunters (You), on the other hand, are done very well. The Judge\'s coat flows smoothly and attack animations are done excellently.

Graphics Score: 7/10

Story:

This is where the game makes up for most problems it has. It starts with the \'Imbuing,\' where people learn the truth and become Hunters. The world is run in secrecy by monsters, and Hunters are there to fight them.

Story Score: 10/10

Replay ability:

When the game’s over, you unlock two modes, and both are pretty useless. It is, a party game, so you may just be in the mood for blasting zombies. There\'s another double score.

Single Player Replay ability Score:5/10
Multi-Player Replay ability Score: 7/10

Pros:
Beat-em-ups are party games, so the fun factor is off the scale.
Controls are simple.

Faults:
The Camera can be messed up.
Single Player isn’t fun.

Game Score:8/10

Rent

It\'s a beat-em-up with not much replay ability.
