"OK, while it lasts"

The Sum of all Fears for gamecube is merely an ok game. Don\'t be expecting a high quality first person shooter like Rainbow Six when you jump in to this game.

GRAPHICS:3/10
The graphics in this game are terrible. Bad textures, animations, and a sub-par framerate. Just plain bad for a gamecube game. It looks just a tad better than Rainbow Six for n64, but that\'s not saying anything.
The cut scenes looks a little better than the in-game graphics, but are still very pixxelated and outdated. The only redeeming things about the graphics is the decent character models and nice menus.

SOUND:6/10
Fares better than the graphics. Cut scenes sound nice atleast. Pre mission voice overs sound decent enough, but during the missions all the sounds are pretty bad. The guns sound like staple guns fired at very fast rate.

GAMEPLAY:7/10
This can actually be an entertaining game, if you can look past the graphics. Its another Tom Clancy tactical first person shooter, like Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon.
Not much to explain. Kill the bad guys with your gun. But its not like the new Bond games where you can take 30 hits and still walk away. It\'s a one hit, one kill policy in this, so you have to be careful in this. You can\'t just barge in to a room filled with bad guys and expect to kill everyone without dying.
The missions are all pretty much the same, though. Follow the white line on your radar, killing terrorists along the way, and press action at a certain device, whether it be a computer, car, or pile of documents.
The game engine is almost exactly like Ghost Recon for cube, except you can\'t control order your partners in this. Your partners don\'t do much either. I went through the game and found out they killed a total of 7 people during the course of the game. All they do is serve as a backup if you get killed.

REPLAY VALUE:3/10
After you beat the 11 missions in this game, theres not much else to do but beat em\' again if you want to. You can do the missions in 2 other ways other than the actual mission; lone wolf or firefight. Firefight you have eliminate all the enemies in a level. Lone wolf you are by yourself and have to make it to the extraction zone alive.
But still, thats not enough. You need multiplayer in a game like this.

OVERALL:5/10
It\'s good while it lasts, but that isn\'t very long. Rent it if there\'s nothing else.
