Aggressive Inline
Review by Dark Warrior 0
"Move Over Tony......."
I am a huge fan of the extreme sports genre. The Tony Hawk games are fantastic and so are Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX games which were also developed by Z-Axis but when you compare Tony Hawk and Dave Mirra to Aggressive Inline they are almost bad in comparison.
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game are pretty good. The levels are vast and there is a lot of interactive objects in the environment. The weather effects such as rain, snow and lightning are amazing. The birds and people are also fairly well designed too. There are problems in this game though. Every once and awhile you will fall through the level. This has only happened to me a handful of times in the entire time I have owned this game. It usually happens when you get someplace or land awkwardly in a strange place. This is rare though and will not spoil the gaming experience. There is no slowdown and stays at a steady frame rate. The skaters movies are also very good.
Sound: 7/10
The sound of your skates when you grind and ride around are pretty good but the soundtrack is not to my liking. There are a lot of things to choose from on the soundtrack they just are not my taste most people will probably like the soundtrack though. It is not so bad that I turn off the music though but it does get irritating after awhile.
Game Play: 9/10
The game play is amazing. The controls are very responsive and there is very little to be disappointed with. The game uses one very new feature which is an unlimited run as opposed to timed runs. You can keep playing as long as you keep the meter on the top of the screen from running out. There are tons of objectives and special areas of levels to unlock by acquiring keys. Another interesting feature is the RPG like quality of your attributes. You build up your ability in those areas by how much you use them. There is also one special item on each level for each attribute to boost it one more point. The most points you can have being eight.
Replay: 9/10
This game has infinite replay ability. It has strong multi player features and a great deal of single player characters to play through as. Have fun trying to unlock all the goodies in this one. There are also some nice skating movies and secret characters that are good rewards for beating the game.
Recommendations:
If you like this game you will probably also like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2, and maybe even BMX XXX but I do not care for that one. Enjoy.
