Reign of Fire

"And I thought the movie was bad..."

I got this game as a Bar Mitzvah present from one of my friends. I got a lot of gifts, so i wasnt too picky. When i brought it home, I got a shock, a shock of a bad, bad game...

Graphics: 7/10: The game has ok graphics. They would be a lot better if the smoke and fire weren't completely obstructing your view 80% of the time while you were beaten to death by fireballs.

Sound: 8/10: There is nothing wrong with the sound. Voice acting is good actually, and all the sounds are accurate. If you shoot a missile, you hear that wizzing sound and then a loud explosion. The music could have been better, but the game is so hectic and twisted that you cant even listen to it.

Control: 3/10: Good lord, were they mad!?!?!?!? you have to use the same control stick to aim and drive, and you basically have to stop your car and shoot, all the while while dragons are pummeling you and your friends. If you go the wrong way, you will get pummeled with curse words from the general like hes cid from ff7. Aiming takes forever, and since you only have 15 homing missiles in your inventory, and 15 regular ones that have a 10% chance of hitting, your gonna have a tough time. Also, you sometimes swirve down hills, and get stuck there for 5 minutes while the rest of your team dies.

Gameplay: 2/10: You have objectives. You dont have to do them all to beat the mission. If you go on fire, you have about 2 minutes to find water somewhere in the level (a faucet, its hard to find) and put yourself out, in which, the dragons are bombarding the allies that your objective is to save. Your trying to save your hide, and van zan is swearing at you, telling you to come back, while hes getting killed (literally) by dragons. If you bang into a fence, you may get stuck and lose. The smoke completely obstructs your view, but the dragons have no problem killing you or setting your friends on fire and killing them instead, ending your mission.

Story: 5/10: Dragons come and get released, wanna kill the people, youve gotta stop them, dull central. I think its boring anyway :P

Buy or rent: Ignore. Its not worth it. If you wanna rent a game, rent wind waker or wario world.
