"An OK game, but nothing amazing"

This game is NOT a normal wrestling game. It's a game where you choose your favorite WWE superstar, and have them take their car and beat the crap out of other superstars.

Graphics: 8/10

Good graphics. You can see the explosions of missiles, the fire emitted from a gun, and many other good, realistic, weaponry things. The cars look great, and every nook and cranny of the cars are nicely detailed. The explosions of the car are average. I wasn't thrilled by them, but I've seen worse. The arenas have some features such as ramps to other areas. The only problem is the physics. You get too much air on ramps, IMO. Overall, if you want a pretty game, you should without any doubt, try Crush Hour.

Sound: 5/10

Bleh. They have Jim Ross do commentary, but it is downright sad. He pauses for at least a second before saying a wrestlers name. It winds up sounding something like this:

''Nice shot...by Rob Van Dam''

That gets annoying. The gun sounds are pretty good and the got the wrestlers to do little taunts for when you kill another car, so that kicked it up a few points, but the sound is still pretty bad.

Gameplay: 5/10

Meh. Some of the games are downright impossible, while some are too easy. One of the games, where you have to race other superstars to get to little stars, is impossible if you aren't a fast car like Rob Van Dam. The normal battle mode is too easy, no matter which car you selected.

Controls: 8/10

Good. Pretty simple stuff for shooting normal weapons, shooting special weapons, turning, accelerating, and breaks. I was pretty happy with these. No problems here

Replay Value: 6/10

Fun for awhile. If the season mode drives you batty with it's impossible games, you can play those same games or battle mode with friends. That's a good deal of fun...for about a hour and a half. Then you wonder if you can return the game. So, just rent it and then see if you want to buy it.

Buy or Rent?: Rent

It's not an amazing game. It IS worth trying, but I only rented it and was glad I did because I was bored by the end of my week-long rental period. So, I advise you rent it first, then see how you feel about it.

Final Thoughts

Try it out. Sure, the idea of it sounds totally stupid, but it's actually really entertaining for a little while.
