"A classic case of style over substance."

I was really hyped for this game. It's a classic shooter, but done in 3D. Sadly, this game is mediocre at best.

The beginning of this game starts out with a bang. The leading character, Vanessa is cool looking, and makes you feel like you're about to go into some action.

But that's not it. But this game can't keep up to its expectations. In less than an hour, you'll realize how boring this game is. The level designs are so bad, it would make you cry. Trust me, you'll feel like you are going into the same hallways over and over again.

Another bummer is it's length. You'll be expecting to play this for a long time on your first time through the game, but about 3 hours later, the game is finished. And this game is really low on replay value due to it's mediocre gameplay and lousy level designs. And this game is too hard to play. On easy, this game is easy to finish, but on Normal, it's almost impossible. Restarting so many times is one of the most tedious things in video games. Capcom can't even make a good story for this game. Why is Vanessa doing all of this? The story is so lame. And nothing happens to her till the very end of the game. Which is lame.

Graphics: 8/10

I can say something about this game that is good. It's graphics. They are very good, but there are many cliches here and there. But you can ignore that.

Sound: 7/10

The soundtrack is pretty good too. But the music gets repetitive, and there are some scratchy sounds too.

Story: 2/10

The leading character, Vanessa goes through this place to take on robots and other machines. That's about all I get. The rest is all crappy and confusing. I don't understand what this is about.

Controls: 9/10

A bit confusing at first, but then you realize that the controls at spot on later on. They feel great for this game, and I wouldn't want it either way.

Gameplay: 3/10

I'll admit that the shooting is fun at times, but the gameplay is very mind-numbingly repetitive. It's just ''go through the stage, shoot enemies and get to the finish'' there is really not many goals to accomplish. And this gets boring, fast.

Replayability: 3/10

I don't see why gamer would want to go through this short, repetitive, glitchy adventure again. There isn't many unlockables either. This game is very low on replay value.

PROS:

+Great controls
+Cool leading character
+Good graphics

CONS:

-Way too short
-Confusing, mind-numbingly story
-Too hard on normal mode
-Very repetitive

Final thoughts

I really thought this game was going to be great, but it turns out that this game doesn't live up to gamers' expectations. Ignore all these other reviews here, because they are wrong. If you don't believe me, go and rent this game to see all of these problems, and you will come back and apologize to me because you will know I was right all along. If you believe me, good. Then my advice is that if you want a great old-school shooter, pick up Ikaruga and forget this mess.
