Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

Billy Hatcher and the Giant egg, is for once, a game by Sega, that is not another of a gazillion sonic sequels. (not that they were bad though) In this wacky and outrageous game, you'll love the originality and the idea of the egg stuff, but it is not as fun as everyone was lead to think. I was not disappointed though.

Graphics: Nothing I haven't ever seen before. Its good that they took time to do it, but i'm impressed, not wowed. The bosses though, well, they are great. They are great and innovative ideas, and they look absolutely fantastic, but there pretty much all the same.

Sound: I love the sound and music, but some of the voice acting doesn't make much sense. Whenever you beat the level, Billy seems to say, Goo moaning!(or something) I know its Good morning, but it was still a annoying flaw. The Theme music will drill into your brain and infect it, but youl'l like it at the same time. I think its a oxymoron.

Gameplay: Wow! This is the good part, and the part that really matters. Rolling an egg is fun, and finding the fruit takes time, and is better then finding eggs and immediately hatching them. The different levels have variety, but there basicaly the same thing. Racing, running against the clock, finding someone in a time limit, so pretty much the forth is always running against the clock in some way. The first is saving an elder, the 2nd a boss, etc. etc. Beating the pooey outta someone with an egg isn't as good as I thought, but it still is excellent.

Difficulty: Well pfff. If your a hardcore gamer, back off. This is for the people that like to relax while playing their games, but also like to feel a bit tense with sweaty hands. I think the difficulty is just right.

Replay ability: Pretty Good. You'll want to play some of the missions again and again, and find all the different eggs, the sonic eggs, and the GBA minigames.

Rent or Buy: Rent. See how you like it, because most people will not like it at all, but others will love it ALOT. You can Buy AFTER you rent. Well, that's what I do anyways.

Overall: A great cute game, which has a nice difficulty level, and a good replay ability level.
