James Bond 007: NightFire
Review by namod65
"Wow, one of the better bond games"
Intro
Ok, so this is just another bond game like the others, starring...wait, I'll let you guess. Did you get it right? You better of got it right. Well if you didn't, this game is starring James Bond, a British secrete agent working for MI6 Intelligence. This game is almost like the other games except it is just a little better in each section. I have played the other bond games for Nintendo and think that this game is a tie with Goldeneye for the best bond game. And as you should know, Goldeneye is one of the best games ever made. It will be a legend, so EA Games did a good job with this game. In fact, EA Games is becoming a really good game making company.
Gameplay 9/10
This game is very fun, it has really cool weapons like the AIM-20, a advanced weapon that switches from a burst fire gun to a high power grenade launcher. There are also some good stealth missions that make the game fun. It has more stealth missions then the other bond games. I like how the gadgets are made to look like regular items like a real gaget should. Like the micro-camera that looks like a zippo lighter that acutally works if you press the fire button. The other games failed in this area. The controls are very easy to learn and make senese. Then again, most games for GameCube are good because of the controller. You can also switch the controls to how you like them. This game is not hard, but it will take some time to beat because it is not a super easy game either.
Multiplayer 10/10
The multiplayer in this game is so good that it is almost worth buying the game just for the multiplayer. There are many levels to play on and some of them are huge. You can have up to 6 bots playing even if you have 4 human players as well. You can use all of the guns from the game and there are also some guns made just for multiplayer. There are many different types of multiplayer such as Arena, Team Area, Capture the Flag, etc. There are also many more options you can tinker around with in multiplayer.
Story 7/10
The story for this game is just like many of the other bond game stories.
There is a bad guy name Rafael Drake. He is the owner of a company that disarms nuclear warhead called Pheonix. He has a secrete plan for his company called Nightfire. This envolves using nuclear missiles being launched from space to take over the world and start a new ''improved'' government for the world. You must stop him at all costs.
Graphics/Sound 9/10
The graphics in this game are very well done. There is a lot of detail all over the levels. The guns are very detailed. You can see all the little switches and clips on the weapons. As for the sound, nothing new. The menu music is from Goldeneye. The other menu music is the classic bond music from the movies.
Playing time/re playability 8/10
This game will take just about a week and a half to beat. The last level is kind of hard and it will take longer then the other levels. The multiplayer is always replayable. The game is fun to replay to try to get better scores on each levels to earn prizes.
Overall 8/10
This is a good game overall. It is a tie for best bond game with Goldeneye. I say buy it. It is a good game to keep with the multiplayer. If you do not like these kind of games that much, but are looking for a good game to play over the weekend or something, then just rent it.
