Review by Meganium7

"I am greatly disappointed."

Intro
Let me first state, that I am a huge Bionicle fan, and love everything about it, except this game. I was waiting for this game for a good while, it looked to be good. So I went to the store today and bought it. And I was shocked at the length, it was so short.

Gameplay: 3/10
The gameplay is decent, but it get's quite repetitive. I quickly found out that my favorite Toa could do nothing but shoot blasts from their weapons, which seem to be made for close range. The levels are ridiculously easy, and short as well. And the control scheme uses only four buttons on the controller, plus the control stick. So the controls are simple, points for that. Another gripe of mine is the lack of moves, all you can do is jump, shoot your blast, and do a power wave type of attack. You run very slow, making it take a long time to get anywhere, and even Pohatu, who has the Kanohi mask of speed, is just as slow as the others.

Story: 4/10
I love the Bionicle story, but this game kind of ruined it. You collect krana for 2 levels, and I won't say what you do afterwards, because that would be a spoiler. The only real similarity it has to the real story is the enemies. You've got your Bohrok, your Bohrok Kal, Rahkshi, Makuta. But surprisingly enough, there is not even a single mention of Cahdok and Gahdok, the Bohrok queens, who are very important to the Bionicle story.

Graphics/Sound: 5/10
The graphics are decent, but not as good as you'd expect from a next-gen console. They are somewhat blocky, which I guess is expectable from a game based on Lego characters. The sound isn't very good at all, the music is quiet and has little feeling to it. And the voice overs are very badly done. Nuju in particular, seeing as how he isn't even supposed to be able to speak if you know about Bionicle.

Play Time/Re-playability: 0/10
Yes, a zero. This game is so short, I beat it in an hour and a half. This game's only re-playability is to unlock bonus features such as the movie trailer and other things. And those features aren't even worth it to begin with.

Final Recommendation: Rent
This game is too darn short to warrant a buy, even by monster Bionicle fans such as I. If you got it as a gift even, I would recommend returning it, it will just take up space on your memory card while you never play it after beating it.
