The Sims
Review by jeffjsm7
"The Sims is an Addicting, and Fun Game"
The Sims for Nintendo Gamecube should make the original PC version proud. There are three modes to play in this game. For one player, there is get a life mode. In this mode, you create a sim, and they go through houses and houses facing everyday challenges. When playing get a life mode, you get to unlock more and more things to make your pad look awesome. This mode is addicting, but there is lack of levels in it, and it ends far to quickly if you play it straight through. Another mode is the classic sim mode. You get to build a house, make a family, and play god for them. Keep doing this, and you will have an whole neighborhood. This mode is basically the PC version. You can do anything you want with your sims. One exciting thing to do is make a couple, get them to know each other, and when its time, they will have a baby. When the baby grows into a child, its fun to see what they look like. The stuff you can put into your house is incredible. You can put in anything from a monkey butler to a strip poker table. There's one problem though. When you build a house, you can not get an upstairs, unlike the PC version. The final mode is the multi player mode. Now, there are about 8 different stages you can do in multi player mode. This would have been more fun if all the stages were at least different! It seems every level has to do with getting a date, or see how many chicks you can get into the hot tub. It is fun once you start it, but it will get boring after a while.
Here are my ratings for the modes in the sims:
Get a life: 9/10
Classic play the sims mode: 9/10
Multi player Mode: 7/10
The sims will make you want to skip breakfast, lunch, and dinner just to play it. that's how addicting this game is.
I also have some problems with the game. The amount of slowdowns is annoying. Also, the amount of space this game takes up on your memory card. If you put these problems aside, you have an excellent game.
''The Sims'' is fun, addicting, challenging, frustrating, overall great game. I recommend that anyone with a gamecube who liked the PC version should buy this. If you don't like the PC version, don't buy this. Simple as that.
