Bionicle
Review by afrothunder
"Pretty Bad"
Oh man! This game was so horrible. My brothers asked for this game on their birthday. It didn't really phase me much that they were getting it. I used to like bionicle when I was younger, but I out grew them. I let my little brothers have all my bionicle figures and such. My mom looked around in the store for this game, but it could not be found. So we ordered it off the Internet. I forgot about it until it came and my brothers started playing it. It looked ok until I played it. Then I saw how horrible it was.
GRAPHICS 3/10
The graphics were bad. Nintendo 64 could've had better graphics. The rocks and walls were fairly well made, but the toa didn't have very much detail in them. Neither did the little turaga guys. The fire in this game was pretty bad. The graphics didn't really match the GameCube. But they did match with the Nintendo 64!
GAMEPLAY 2/10
Wasn't the whole game supposed to follow the movie? If it did, apparently it failed. It didn't focus on the movie or the comics. The enemies were so easy to kill. You could let a three year old kill an enemy for you because they were so weak. The levels only took 5 minutes to complete and the bosses were so easy to kill that they might even be regular enemies. In the comics the toa could shoot whatever natural element (fire, water, stone, ice, air, earth, and light) they were. In the game the toa could shoot just a cheap energy beam that barely affected the enemies. The gameplay was cheap.
CHARACTERS 1/10
You can't pick your own character!!!! I have a favorite toa, Tahu! But can you pick him for any mission? NO! I wish I could choose my own character, but no I couldn't because that is how all sorry games turn out. One thing goes bad and the whole game goes to hell.
CONTROLS 6/10
This is the only good thing about the game. The controls were very easy. Sometimes you get confused with the controls, but nevertheless they were ok.
MUSIC 2/10
The music was real corny. It didn't spice up the horrible gameplay. That is all I have to say about the music. Or this is all I can say about the music.
REPLAY VALUE 1/10
You can beat this whole game in 45 minutes of less and the replay value is worth nothing. You can't play this game after you beat it. Unless you can't possibly buy another game or you possibly don't have another game to play.
OVERALL
Don't buy this! Don't rent this game! Don't think about buying or renting this game!
