Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom

Review by joe13

"A Yugioh Game Without Cards."

A Yugioh game without cards. Impossible you say! But it is true. Read the review and find out why.

Graphics-9/10
The graphics in this game do not appear to be that impressive but I think they really are. The battles can be viewed from every possible camera angle, monsters look good, etc. Nothing about the graphics could really bring this score down.

Gameplay-5/10
There is two different parts to the gameplay. One is like a Kessen game and the other is like a turn based RPG. Both of these are watered down though some bit and are fairly simplistic.
In the map part of the game (which is like Kessen) you control several Marshals that have 3 monsters with them and you roam around taking over various forts and fighting enemy Marshals until you either complete the objective or lose. You can put weapons and other things on your forts which make for good defenses and such.
The RPG part of the game play is not that impressive either. You have 3 monsters and you take turns exchanging blows with the enemy. There's a minimal amount of attacks you can use.

Controls-10/10
It is an strategy RPG. It is almost impossible to have flawed controls in a game like this. There is not anything complex about the controls. The controls only include a few buttons. No combinations or anything like that

Story-10/10
It is not good story as far as characters are concerned but I still like it. You have three different story lines to choose from (either Yugi, Seto Kaiba, or a secret character you get from beating the first two stories). You play as the main character who gets trapped inside of a RPG called ''Kingdom'' and you literally try to play your way out. It has got a few twists and turns. And it is long. There is ALOT of missions with each storyline to complete.

Sounds-0/10
There is no voice acting. Which is terrible for a game not to have in this day and age. Music is terrible. And the monster attacks are bland and uninteresting.

Replay Value-10/10
The multiple story lines adds a great replay value to the game. And obtaining all of the different monsters takes a while as well. And a few other things. Great replay value.

Extras-7/10
The game comes with 3 cards. Zoe, Metal Zoe, and Goblin Fan. Even though I do not collect the cards, any extras in my opinion are good extras.

Overall-7/10
Pretty good Yugioh game. But like all Yugioh games. It's made for the fans. Even with the mediocre gameplay I still found my self wanting to beat this game. I highly recommend renting this before buying.
