Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom

Review by X MidnightSon X

"Finally Konami makes a great Yugioh game for the Gamecube!"

Introduction:

Yu-Gi-Oh is finally on the Nintendo Gamecube! This game is an all new great RPG (Role Playing Game) in the series and takes place after the Battle City Tournament. There arent Duelist in this game, instead they are called ''Marshals'' that control a team of 3 monsters that are to be sent into battle. Each monster can be equipped with items, power ups, or healing potions, and can be replaced anytime for another monster. This game has many surpises and Konami has proven they have made another great Yu-Gi-Oh game!

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics in The Falsebound Kingdom are great! You can Rotate the camera during a battle in full clockwise views and zoom in and out! They graphics vary also by the battlefield backround or outside of battle when it is night time, day time, some monsters have special attacks, and others have special attacks where 2 monsters combine their attack into 1!

Sound / Music: 8/10

The music in Falsebound Kingdom is great but can get repetitive after a while. It sometimes varys depending on the situation boss, marshal, etc. Some songs from the game are brought from other games and tuned up a bit ''Duelist Of The Roses'' ''Forbidden Memories'' most songs are from DOTR (Duelist Of The Roses) and the rest are fresh and new in Falsebound Kingdom

Story: 8/10

The story is ok and original, it is pretty surprising due to the fact u dont really know what is going to happen , there are 2 storys to play Yugi or Kaiba and each story has Missions (levels). The story gets deeper as you progress further.

Gameplay: 9/10

The game is 2 different things, outside of a battle it is real time strategy, and when u engage into a battle it becomes a turn based RPG battle with you and your opponent and 6 monsters (3 for you and you opponent).Your Monsters gain levels depending on their experience.

Controls: 9/10

The controls are simple, you move around your cursor and select a team, or base and command that team to move somewhere or command the team in the base to build equipment.

Replay: 10/10
unlocking every monster, each mission is about 15-45 minutes which is pretty long compared to some games.

Rent or Buy:

This game is great! The missions are pretty long so it might not be a good idea to rent,But u might want to rent
The replay value is great. There is much to do after you beat the game! Challenge mode, getting all the items, it because some Yu-Gi-Oh fans were turned off of it duel to the fact u dont use cards , but i bought and was satisfied.

Final Score: 9
