Die Hard: Vendetta
Review by viewtifulreed22
"Bought it for $15, its worth about 4.5 cents"
I was just strolling around Meijer, looking at their video games, and I just happened to see Die Hard: Vendetta there for $15 bucks. It was then I thought to myself ''The movies were pretty good, how bad can the game be?''
Well I didn't know the answer to my question would be ''very bad''.
Graphics: 8/10
This is one of the two categories that pulled this game up to a 5. It has some pretty good graphics, and the guns look pretty realistic. The voice acting isn't great, but it could have been a lot worse. I also like how it slowed down time to show your fatal shot go through a bad guy. NICE TOUCH.
Story-line: 9/10
For all ''die hard'' die hard fan you will love the story line because its all new. The only thing based on the movies are the characters. Another thing that tickled my tummy was using the actual voice of that one cop from the movies(guy that also stared in ''Family Matters''). That was a nice touch.
Gameplay: 5/10
The game is either way too easy or way too hard pending on whether you turned ''auto-aim'' on or off. Auto-aim makes the game way to easy. You basically just have to have who you are shooting at in the general area of your cross-hairs to get a lock-on of them. Without auto-aim, the controls are too hard to make the precise aiming it takes to hit people farther away than 2 feet.
Replay value: 2/10
No multi-player. They didn't have enough time to add it into the game. Multi-player could have saved the sad score I gave it, but they didn't make it. After beating the game, you just don't get motivated to try it on a harder difficulty.
Controls: 6/10
Controls flow smoothly, but the horrendous aiming system brought it down to a 6. I did like the ''Max Paine bullet time'' system. If your a fan of the movies, you will laugh at what music they play during it.
Overall: 5/10
If you see it for $15 and you are a die hard fan of the movies, I say go ahead and pick it up. If your just a fan of FPS, this game will leave you wishing you spent the money on something else.

If this game has taught me anything it is this: some impulse buys are the best buys of your gaming career, and some make you cry yourself to sleep for a week.
