Crash Nitro Kart

"A Total Dissapontment!"

This is one of the most anticipating games for Kart Racing fans since the first one was a total hit, it was obvious there was going to be a sequel. Now the sequel to Crash Team Racing(PS1) is here and I have to say, I was totally disappointed with Crash Nitro Kart. Crash Nitro Kart has to be one of the most uninspired game I ever play. This game is not very deep neither fun. Want to know if Crash Nitro Kart is worth your money or should you get Mario Kart: Double Dash!! instead?

Graphics 5/10

The graphics in this game are good but they are not the best I have seen. Crash Nitro Kart has some good tracks but the bad thing is that the characters are lame and they aren't any fun to play with. Some characters are well designed while others are so lame you wished more work when into the characters. The environments are boring and they are not fun to play in. The good thing about the graphics is that the tracks are very cool and design and some of them are so awesome you are going to think this game has the best tracks ever.

Sound 3/10

The sound in this game is just so annoying, you are going to prefer playing with the volume turned off. The music isn't good and you are going to get tired of it the first time you listened to it.

Gameplay 4/10

This game is average at it best, The gameplay in this game haven't changed a bit since Crash Team Racing and you are going to think, you are playing the same game. The game has some nice features that Mario Kart: Double Dash!! doesn't have like an story mode. The story is not very good, Crash has to save the world. Forget about the story, since this game has bosses in a racing game and that has to count as something. The bad thing is that some objectives are so damn hard and so frustrating that you are not going to get any fun from it. multi player racing is horrible. The game feels so slow with other 3 people and some cars are faster than others so whoever picks the fastest kart always wins. You get to unlock stuff and secrets but to do that you have to play the frustrating Story mode over and over again. It's just not fun.

Replay 2/10

The replay value isn't very high since the game gets boring after some days, and multi player races aren't fun enough to keep you hook to this game.

Overall Score 4/10

This game may have gotten higher scores on the other two consoles but on the Gamecube where Mario Kart: Double Dash!! rules karts games, it's just not fun. If you want a good Kart racer get Mario Kart Double Dash!! instead but if you want to play this, treated like a rental.
