"Alright game"

Introduction
----------
Matt Hoffman's is a great game. Simple controls and great gameplay along with an incredible soundtrack make this game incredibly fun to play.

Gameplay 9/10
--------
This game has really easy controls that perfectly suit the gamecube pad (even though it's a PS2 port). It is relatively easy to master but some of the challenges on road trip can be very difficult to complete on the later levels.

Story 6/10
----
As this is a sports game it doesn't really have a story line but it does have road trip mode in which you complete challenges on the levels much like career mode on Tony Hawks games. The challenges are quite good but seem pointless and can be very frustrating and repetitive.

Graphics 7/10
-------
The graphics are good but quite blocky. The blood is terrible and is just a stream of dark red that come from your riders hands. The textures on the ramps, floor and walls are great and give a real feel of reality to the game. The bikes and people are well modeled and the riders look just like their human counterparts apart from their blocky head.

Sound 9/10
-----
One of the best things about this game is it's amazing soundtrack. With music like the passenger and take a walk this would sell incredibly well as a CD on it's own. The rider sounds are also good as they have shouts that sound realistic when you hit the ground. Sounds made by the bike are also realistic, like when you grind on a rail or ledge it makes a realistic sound etc.
The only one complaint I have about the game's sound is that when you hit a metal pole it makes a very annoying pinging sound that almost makes you scream after you hear it loads.

Lifespan 9/10
-------
The replayabillity for this game is great. Even after a year or so of playing you still won't tire of it's goodness. The road trip mode takes ages to complete and there are plenty of secrets to uncover. The levels never get boring and are greatly crafted.

Conclusion 8/10
---------
This game is greatly crafted just how it should be. With great levels and an incredible musical soundtrack this is up their with the best sports games on the marvelous console of the gamecube. Also as the game is fairly old you can catch it at great bargains at game stores. If you like BMXs and own a gamecube then buy this game NOW!
