"EA does it again"

Introduction

First off I would like to tell you, the reader, that this is my first Medal of Honor game. What this means is I cant compare this to other games of the series.

What is this game about?

Ok, you are a marine during World War II and you start the game getting attacked at Pearl Harbor. First you have to defend the harbor and then you basically go around different countries in southern Asia to attack Japanese strong holds or gain information. The game has authentic WWII weapons and has a ''Band of Brothers'' type storyline.

Tech information:

This game looks and sounds good. EA did a great job on facial expressions. The textures of building look a little rough but not bad. Everything runs smooth without any slow down. Explosions look great and I don't think they could look any better.

Single Player

Single player mode is fun and action packed with plenty of shooting and EA made a smart move and added melee attacks. In other words, walk up to an enemy and whack him over the head with your gun. There are quite a few mission and some take a while. This game is fairly long. You do most of the mission with a squad and your commanding officer who will bark orders you have to do to complete the mission. (Hope you like to get bossed around)

Co-op mode

You and one friend can actually play through the campaign just like you would on single player. The only difference I have noticed is you no longer have a squad or your commanding officer with you so hope your friend is a good shot.

Death Match

Death matches can be pretty fun but there are only two kinds: team and free for all. Besides from that is has a decent amount of options for weapons, levels, and characters.

Cons:

This game has bad default controls. That is not a problem though because the controls are fully customizable. Also, there are only a few mission that seem to have any replay value. Other wise you’ll get the “been there done that” feeling.

How does this version compare to the others?

Honestly I don't know. I have only played this version.

What should I do?

If you like first person shooters and/or war games then at the very least, rent it. Another great EA addition to the game cube in my opinion.

Final score:

8.3/10 Not the best game but a solid title that is worthy of recognition.
