WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!
Review by FoxDemon
"You HAVE TO GET THIS GAME"
Wario Ware is a great game. I haven't played the Game Boy version, but I am told that it is the same as the GC one, and that I shouldn't get the GC version unless I would get it for the multiplayer. Well, I got it for the multiplayer.
Gameplay - This is one of the few games you can play with anyone. It takes you no more than a few minutes to read how to play each game mode and a few seconds to learn the games themselves. As a matter of fact, you only get 5 seconds to beat each microgame! The microgames range from playing golf to picking your nose (on the screen, not your real nose). My six year old brother picked up this game and learned it in a few minutes. The single player mode is amazing, too. The thing about this game is that there is so much to unlock and so many modes of play. 9/10
Graphics - For what they are the graphics of the microgames aren't anything special. Some of the games are taken directly from other games like Super Mario Bros. and Zelda. But for the most part the games look like they were taken from very old gaming systems. However for the most part the graphics are average. 7/10
Sound - The sound in this game is mostly sound effects, which are well done. In the single player mode when you are climbing this elevator to reach a boss, the music becomes more intense and plays faster as you get closer and closer to the boss (which is a microgame). Some rather funny sounds in some games make it fun for kids of all ages to have fun playing a game rather than getting frustrated with a ''Game Over'' taunt. 8/10
Multiplayer - I can't describe it. Multiplayer is truly amazing! There are 12 modes of play (some of them are the same as other modes but with 16-player capabilities). Every mode is unique in that it revolves around playing the microgames but the main concept of each is totally different. In Wobbly Bobbly mode you try to win microgames to make your opponent's stack of turtles go higher. At the end of each round you must literally balance on the turtles for 5 seconds. In Card-e Cards you draw cards from piles which either contain a microgame card or an E-Reader card. If you draw the E-Reader card you have to play all of the microgames drawn up to that point! If you win you get all the cards, but lose one and you lose all of the cards you've had! Also, players can steal other player's cards while one is playing the microgames. There's also a survival/dancing game, an Othello meets Asteroids game, and a teamwork game where you must light up the screen so the person playing the microgames can see what's going on. With a couple of people to play with, Wario Ware is truly addictive. 10/10
Replayability - While the single player mode is easy once you get the hang of the microgames, there are also other single player modes to unlock. This game doesn't have a high replayability level once you get the hang of it, unless of course you play multiplayer, which will bring you back for more. MEDIUM
Buy/Rent - Buy this game. You truly need to get this game to play with your friends. The single player experience is somewhat less exciting than the multiplayer, but either way if you don't have the GBA version of even if you do, pick this one up.
Overall - 9/10 This game is truly a must have, with a few small complaints about the graphics and sound. Once you get friends together to play it though, none of those complaints will seem to even exist.
