Shrek 2

"This is an ok game. Not for all Shrek fans"

Shrek 2 has you use 4 different characters per level. So far I only have used Shrek which has been in every level, Fiona also in every level, Donkey once again in every level, Gingerbread Man was in level 1 and Little Red Riding Hood in level 2, 3, 4.

Story 8/10
This somewhat follows what the movie is like so there are some spoilers. But those are few and far between. This has you start off collecting supplies you will need for the long trip to Far Far Away, hence the name. The journey I believe is 900 miles. You then end up in The Dark Forest. In the Dark Forest you need to find the evil witch and at the end stop the run away carrage with Donkey. In Level 3 you are in Far Far Away wher you meet Fiona's father King Herold. He tells you about some space you need to follow him too. The sotyr isn't great but it does pack a bit of a punch.

Game Play 7/10
The control scheme to me is somewhat difficult and at some times the camera can be clutzy. The bad thing is you cannot turn the camera. Alos the Combat System is difficult. Somehow you are supposed to pull of Special attacks with button presses. So in some way you could call the game a hand to hand combat game.

Graphics 9/10
The best part of the game to me. The graphics are very detailed. Shrek looks like the real character rom the movie but Fiona and Donkey look different. Also the voices in the game are the real voices of the actors who play them in the movies.

Overall 7/10
This game is for die- hard to semi fans only. Those who vaguely know about Shrek don't even think of picking this up. Other people may want to think about. This would make a great end of the school year present.

Rent or Buy
Well I would have to say rent this game before or if you buy it. Those of you that are die-hard fans may just want to take this right off the shelf. Also those of you who like melee fighting or hand to hand fighting might also want to but it on the spot. Here is a little hint for people out there. If you go to Burger King and get a Shrek 2 movie toy you will recieve a coupn worth five dollars at Best Buy. This game is rated E for Everyone. the descriptors are Cartoon Violence and Comic Mischief. My score for this game is a 7 out of 10
